DESCRIPTION:
For those fans of the movie "The Commitments", you may recognize the band's name was derived from the character Jimmy (Brother) Rabbitte. Brother Rabbitte was the leader of the "hardest working band in Dublin," bringing soul to the masses.
Atlanta's own Brother Rabbitte isn't a person, but a band formed by Atlanta's own Doug Pitts, Steve Sieverts and brother Mark Sieverts. As a Trio these musicians were members of bands, both Original and Cover since 1984. Forming "DugX" in '84 and played together until "Some People Say" was formed in the early '90s.
As both Studio musicians and local performance artist, the band played many of Atlanta's hottest Venues including the Roxy in Buckhead, Star Bar in Little Five Points and CJ's Landing in Buckhead.
Brother Rabbitte's mission is to reach the heart and soul of today's party crowd. Looking to cover the dynamic sounds from the 1960s to today's top 20, the band searched to add the ideal compliment of talents to be able to excite any crowd.
Adding Guitarist & Vocalist Craig Levy from Philly and Keyboard Player & Vocalist Dan Hunziker, Brother Rabbitte expanded its musical reach, offering up a flavor yet unmatched by other party bands. Whether opening for Ray Charles, the "Atlanta Rhythm Section" or playing the famous Stone Pony in Asbury Park, Craig and Dan provide the perfect talents sought to complete the desired backing sounds.
Of course, no band is complete without an exceptional lead vocalist and charismatic stage presence. For this critical ingredient, the band turned to local discovery Jim Pomerance. Jimmy offers the audience a fantastic vocal range covering sounds from Soul to Pop to Metal. Additionally he brings an engaging stage presence, connecting immediately with his audience.
