Description
Behind The Canvas is eclectic and exiting. Covering favorite songs from the 60s to present, they are performed with fresh and very tasteful sounds by virtue of the instrumentation: Upright Bass, Viola/Violin, Drums, Keys and Acoustic/Electric Guitar. This is a great band for parties, corporate events, festivals and more.
The members include:
Joe Breckenridge: Upright Bass.
Joe is a very accomplished musician. His style is never boring. He brings a lot of energy and a tasteful spontaneity to any musical situation he is in. He has been a member of Hotel, Teluride and many other popular, successful groups.
Melanie Rogers: Viola/Violin.
Melanie is an amazing string player. She is our electric guitar but with a bow in hand. She has played with many major touring acts and is a very active Birmingham musician. She brings original and creative melodies to what we do.
Steve Wingo: Ac/El Guitars.
Steve was a music major at Birmingham-Southern College with a focus on guitar. He has been an entertainer in the Birmingham area and the Southeast for many years. Performing in bands and as a solo artist, he has been very successful thorough his professionalism and musicianship. Steve owns Digitrends Recording Studio in Birmingham and has a large and diverse client base. He is the worship leader and director at Liberty Crossings UMC.
Joel Bouchillon: Piano/Keyboards.
Joel has survived multiple U.S and International tours. As an accomplished pianist/keyboardist, Joel has been fortunate to share the stage with recording artists such as Reba McEntire, The Judds, Kenny Rogers, Crystal Gayle, Conway Twitty, Skip Ewing, Tanya Tucker, Three Dog Night, Paulette Carlson (Highway 101), BAGHDAD and Daron Norwood.
Joel has also appeared numerous times as guest pianists/keyboardist on several national television shows such as TNN's Hee Haw, Grand Ole Opry, Nashville Now, On-Stage, Music City Tonight, Crook and Chase, and PBS's Austin City Limits.
