A GAIN OF TEN, is a Chicago based alternative pop/rock band. Their music uses powerful arrangements that are blended with dynamic melodies sung by lead singer Gary Witthoeft paired with the sweet harmonies of back up vocalist and drummer Ashley Vargas. With the talents of lead guitarist Zephaniah Whitt and bassist Peter Kruse "a gain of ten" has quickly become one of Chicagos fastest up and coming bands.

"a gain of ten" will be the hit of the party at any event! The band will play anywhere, from churches, to taverns, clubs, schools, weddings, parties, you name it.

Having headlined at such Chicagoland venues as "The Metro" a gain of ten, through their words and music, has shown audiences their hearts and passion. They long to show everyone they come in contact with their love for Jesus and music as well as their willingness to expand the Kingdom.

Even though "a gain of ten" has only been in the scene for a little over a year they have many accomplishments and are looking to accomplish a lot more. Having opened for such acts as "IONA" (2010 Cornerstone Main Stage Band) and Hawthorne Heights, a gain of ten shows a level of musical talent that can apply to a vast majority of audiences.

"a gain of ten" released their first porfessional recording in January of this year, "Move EP", which will make you, well, MOVE... and are currently in the process of recording their first professional full length.

We are looking to minister, entertain, and to set ourselves apart from other bands by being polite, dynamic, fun, and insanely energetic. They are very personable with the audience and accomadating. They made it easy for me since I don't know much about music or technical aspects. • There was an injury to one of the band members, which made them unable to attend my event. HOWEVER, I was promptly notified and told of the situation.
