Where is the future of R&B headed? A question that plagues the minds of music enthusiasts everywhere...The past decade has allowed artists to infiltrate the charts and produce records that lack the technical skill, control and showmanship of the greats of before.
Hearing the call, Anthony Gates, a Los Angeles, California native, is stepping up to fill the void. His passion for music began at a very young age in the church choir, singing and playing the drums. Through his teenage years, he sang in the LA Inner City Mass Choir and was a member of Nate Dogg's famous gospel choir Innate Praise. The experience allowed him to grow & fine tune his instrument. Through hard work and dedication, his skills are reminiscent of soul greats such as Donny Hathaway and Sam Cooke, coupled with an urban Hip Hop flare.
Anthony's vocal talents have been called upon for use with the likes of Stevie Wonder, Patti Labelle, Teedra Moses, The Game, super producers 1500 or Nothing's own Uncle Chucc, various Gospel artists and the Gain Green Records Family. Destined to be an R&B great, the Anthony Gates "Sing Till I'm Famous" project is just the corner stone of what is anticipated to be one of the most entertaining and iconic independent artist campaigns of 2014.
