George R. Blow is a prolific author and public speaker, as well as an award-winning TV Producer/Director/Actor and Golf Instructor.
A life-long student of what is commonly known as the "inner journey" and a long-term resident of the Big Easy, Blow was inspired by the dramatic events of Hurricane Katrina to make the enjoyment of existence his number one priority. To his own surprise, he subsequently managed to retire from the nation's third largest communications corporation during the lowest point of the economic crash of 2008/9 and embark on an adventure in travel, golf instruction, writing, lecturing and producing/directing/acting that continues to this day.
Applying the principles laid out in his popular books "Peace is Practical" and "The Secret to Happiness Everyone Knows" to every area of life, Blow has been a regular guest lecturer at his Alma Mater, Tulane University - speaking in multiple departments including: Business, Film and Theater. Additionally, he gave a public address in Tulane's Dixon Music Complex which was recorded and is currently available for download.
But perhaps his most sought after presentations are on material from his golf book, "Master Classes: the Evolution of the Golf Swing". The result of decades worth of practice and study, these amazingly clear and comprehensive demonstrations of all the great champions' swing methods answer every question any golf nut could possibly have on the techniques employed by the best golfers in the history of the game. As a result, the author was recently asked to give a series of PowerPoint presentations on a Celebrity Cruise from Southampton, England to Paris, France; Lisbon, Portugal; Tenerife, Canary Islands; and across the Atlantic to Miami, Florida. The talks were a hit, and Blow not only sold out of all the copies he brought on board, but received many more requests for signed editions.
Since 2009, in addition to his self-help books, George R. Blow has also tapped his considerable Film/TV experience to publish a pair of entertaining novels: "Everybody Dies [The Movie]" and "Lovust" - both of which have been adapted into screenplays.
As a young man Blow was awarded a special invitation to attend the prestigious Catholic University Summer Acting institute and, having graduated with honors, subsequently won the "Actor of the Year" award at Tulane University. And during his six years as a TV Producer/Director in the communications industry, he won a national Telly Award for "Best Health and Fitness Program" and a Louisiana Cable Television award for "Best Proof of Performance Spot".
Today, apart from lecturing on golf history and the many performance benefits of enjoying one's own existence, he is once again busy with his acting/producing/directing career. For more information, simply Google "George R. Blow"
