DESCRIPTION:
Downtime is a professional five-piece band in which each member has more than 10 years of performing experience. They play at weddings, corporate and private parties throughout the Midwest and are willing to travel. Their goal is to provide fun and professional musical entertainment of all genres to all audiences. With Downtimes wide variety of music, high energy, and quality sound, everyone will be sure to have a great time.Downtime performs a vast assortment of music such as Pop, Motown, Soul, Classic Rock, Rhythm and Blues and Jazz. The variety of their comprehensive song list allows them to satisfy any audience. They are willing to learn, rehearse and perform up to 2 songs that can be included throughout the special night (such as the bride/groom first dance, father-daughter dance, etc.). Music will be provided during all band breaks to ensure continuous listening pleasure. The break music list can be collaboratively decided upon to supply the desired blend of musical diversity that best fits the special event. Emceeing adaptations will be made at the clients discretion, as well as band size, instrumentation and acoustical levels to accommodate any facility. Dance lights are an option at the request of the client. The groups standard attire is a formal tuxedo for weddings and corporate parties, but casual wear is also available upon request. With the vast selection of options, Downtime guarantees complete satisfaction. If you are looking for a jazz combo for your event, this can also be provided by Downtime. All of the members have a strong background in jazz, with two of its members holding Bachelor of Arts degrees in Jazz Performance and the other members having studied jazz extensively while at a major university. If you are interested in jazz, as well as any other genre, Downtime can provide each of these at your event. Downtime offers many different options for the variety band. Alterations to any of the following groups can be made to best fit any wedding reception or event.
1) Standard 6 Piece Group (Male & Female Vocals, Keyboard, Guitar, Bass, Drums)
2) 7 Piece Group (Standard Group Plus Saxophone)
3) 8 Piece Group (Standard Group Plus Saxophone & Trumpet) The following groups can be provided for cocktails or dinner at a wedding reception or any other event. The trio and quartet can add vocals as well.
1) Solo Piano
2) Duo: Piano/Bass or Guitar/Bass
3) Trio: Sax, Piano or Guitar, Bass
4) Quartet: Sax, Piano or Guitar, Bass, and Drums Downtime will be sure to make any event memorable. They will coordinate all of the details with you before hand to make sure the night runs smoothly. They love to perform and have fun on stage, which always has a contagious effect on their audiences. They were extremely professional. They arrived in plenty of time to set up and required no supervision at all. Their only request was for water to be furnished. They played a good variety of music and seemed to satisfy the audience. I would definately recomend this group.
