About Vendor

Learn more about this vendor for your event.

Gony B is a soloist offering a variety of popular music covering some of the finest artists of yesterday and today. He is highly versatile recreating today's musical landscape with exceptional realism using high tech sound equipment. From Rock to Pop, Latin to Soul, Country to Smooth Jazz Instrumentals, he creates a danceable sound equal to a full band and versatile enough to be personal as a one-man troubadour. Gony's interest in music was sparked when he got a "toy guitar" from his grandfather when he was about seven years old. He took up violin in the fourth grade and also took up the clarinet and picked up the ukelele. Learning on his own, how to play guitar and how to sing, he played his first paid gig as a rhythm guitarist when he was in the 7th grade for a high school dance in Livermore, California. He later started a band as a lead guitarist and vocalist with several friends in high school and also played in several other local bands. During his stint with the US Air Force, he took a break from music performance but continued learning and always had a guitar wherever he got stationed (Texas, Illinois, Delaware, Philippines, Hawaii and California). He also kept his interest in music during his college years (University of Hawaii and California State U, East Bay). After college with a B.S. degree in Business Administration, he got a job in the corporate world to support his music habits and got back to playing again as a soloist, in a duo, in a trio and in bands. Working in Finance by day, most nights he spent paying his dues in dive bars, biker bars, smoky bars, clubs, restaurants, birthday parties, weddings, association dances, at a fancy setting, island setting at the beach, by the river, someone's backyard, on the street and still going. His most memorable places he has played at: The Verge Restaurant, Los Gatos, CA http://vergerestaurant.com/ The Inn at Death Valley, Death Valley, CA https://www.oasisatdeathvalley.com/lodging/the-inn-at-death-valley/ The Hula Grill, Maui, Hawaii https://www.hulagrillkaanapali.com/ He now plays around the San Francisco Bay area as a singer-guitarist and one-man band doing covers and also working on original music. Also available as a trio with saxophonist and percussionist. Rate as a soloist: $150.00 per hour with $300.00 minimum (always negotiable). Rate as a trio: Negotiable The Rolling Stones said it best: "It's only rock and roll but I like it." Some additional places he enjoyed playing at: Alameda County Fair, Pleasanton, CA Bosco's Bones and Brew, Sunol, CA Dolce Hayes Mansion, San Jose, CA Hilton Hotel, Fremont, CA Moose McGillycuddy's, Maui, Hawaii Morses Farmhouse, Los Altos, CA Napa Valley Marriott Hotel and Spa, Napa, CA Quarter Note, Sunnyvale, CA Savoy Restaurant, Walnut Creek, CA The Bridges Golf Club, San Ramon, CA The Club at Ruby Hill, Pleasanton, CA Tiburon Lodge, Tiburon, CA Whaler's Village, Maui, Hawaii Airmen's Club, Vandenburg AFB, CA Calistoga Inn, Calistoga, CA Frank's Cove Restaurant, Bethel Island, CA Golden Oak Restaurant, Morgan Hill, CA Holiday Inn, Union City, CA Le Baron Hotel, San Jose, CA Pleasanton Hotel, Pleasanton, CA Rockhouse, Livermore, CA Sheraton Hotel, South San Francisco, CA The Club, Danville CA The Peasant and the Pear, Danville, CA
