Kevin Roland

Serving Washington, DC and the surrounding area, Kevin Roland has been performing up and down the East Coast for over 15 years. Kevin has accompanied such entertainers as Luther Vandross, Reba McIntyre, Michael Bolton, and Kenny G. He has performed as a soloist with a variety of ensembles including the Tampa Bay Symphony Orchestra, Pensacola Symphony Orchestra, and several college orchestral and band ensembles. Most recently, Kevin continues to work as piano accompanist for Artspeak! Through this program, he has accompanied such Broadway stars as Brad Oscar (The Producers), Audra McDonald (Raisin in the Sun), Alice Ripley (Sideshow), Liz Calloway (Cats), Kristen Chenoweth (Wicked), Idina Menzel (Rent & Wicked), Sutton Foster (Thoroughly Modern Millie), & Judy Kuhn (Les Mis). Kevin is currently the house pianist at The Willard Intercontinental Hotel and also performs at the Metropolitan Club & The Georgetown Club. Previously, Kevin was the musical director at Stars (formerly Mimi's American Bistro), for 9 years, DC's only cabaret restaurant that featured nightly live professional singing servers.

Kevin has played for hundreds of weddings, parties, business functions, fund-raisers, and other social gatherings. Some of the people Kevin has played for in the DC area include former President Clinton (fund raiser 2009), Vice-President Cheney (private holiday party), David Bradley/Chris Matthews/Tom Brokaw (holiday party 2004, 2005, 2006 & corporate party 2004 & 2005), Steven Spielberg (Mimi's American Bistro 2005), Tony Kushner (Mimi's American Bistro 2005), Goldie Hawn (Mimi's American Bistro 2003-2006), Bernadette Peters and Elaine Paige (Willard Hotel 2011) among others.

No performance is too small or large. I often play in-home private concerts or dinners for couples on their anniversary or other special occassions for larger groups. If you do not have a piano, I can arrange for one (if the space allows and at an additional cost) or bring an electronic piano and sound system. I can also provide a variety of singers and other instruments at your request.
