My experience is so vast and varied, that I really feel comfortable in all styles, from top-40 ballades to classical -- from freestyle blues improvisation to Broadway. With my additional skills at composing and arranging, I am a self-described "piano stylist." This means that I go far beyond the notes on the page, taking customers' song requests and interpreting them in my own style. I enjoy customizing a unique musical program that will create a memorable musical setting for your event.

I received my classical training from George Mason University, where I earned a BA in Music in 1999. After graduating, my husband and I moved to western Loudoun County, VA, about 50 minutes west of DC. In the next fourteen years, I served hundreds of families as a piano teacher. During those years I also continued to develop my gift of playing the piano by serving at churches, whether accompanying choirs or leading worship. By request, I also began making regular appearances in the musical theatre community, serving in many capacities, including accompanist, music director, arranger, and composer. During those years, and through the birth of my children, I played for over twenty shows -- greatly augmenting my showtune repertoire. These productions brought me to diverse venues, including The Sheila C. Johnson Performing Arts Center (The Hill School, Middleburg, VA), Franklin Park Arts Center (Purcellville, VA), Union Station (DC), Glaize Studio Theatre (Shenandoah University, Winchester, VA), and The Mishler Theatre (Altoona, PA). In 2004 I was commissioned to compose the music for a Very Special Arts production. In 2007, I was commissioned to arrange the music for an original musical by Tom Sweitzer ("Sky"), a production which featured a Helen-Hayes award-winning actress. In 2006, I recorded an album and self-produced a concert of my original work at the Sheila C. Johnson Performing Arts Center (The Hill School, Middleburg, VA). In addition to all the musical theatre I have done, I have played many parties in private homes, and have played wedding receptions at Lightfoot Restaurant (Leesburg, VA), The Goodstone Inn (Middleburg, VA), and the Hyatt Fair Lakes (Fairfax, VA). I have played wedding ceremonies at many churches in Fairfax and Loudoun Counties, as well as The Goodstone Inn (Middleburg, VA).
