I started my professional music career on saxophone at the age of 16 at Carowinds in North Carolina. My educational background includes a bachelor's degree in music from UNC, and the University of New Orleans jazz studies masters program under pianist Ellis Marsalis and saxophonist Ed Peterson. I was a house piano player at Sullivan's, Howl at the Moon, music director of the musical "Pageant," and teach a private studio of 15-20 students.

Grant has played over 3000 live professional performances on countless stages across the east coast to New Orleans including Carnegie Hall, Memorial Hall, Jazzfest, Bobcats Arena, Panther Stadium to name a few. No gig is too small or too big for this performer. Other musicians can be added if needed or a solo show is perfect for an intimate setting that requires first class entertainment. Also a variety of styles can be played from classy rat pack jazz to raucous piano bar sing-a-longs.
