Our Work - weddings, events & portraits We specialize in events, all kinds of events. Whether you're planning an intimate wedding, a holiday party, or a bustling conference, we'll take good care of you. And, if you need portraits to celebrate your engagement, headshots for your professional profile, or staff photos to promote your business, we'll be happy to set up a session in-studio or at the location of your choice. We individually retouch every image to make it look its best. It's a time-consuming process, but the results are worth it. Then we post your photos in a secure online gallery where you can view and download them, order prints, and even create books. Finally, we send your photos on a DVD for offline use and archiving. All this is included in our simple, standard rate. Our Background After years of working together on events, veteran photojournalist Steve Hart and commercial photographer Jacques Cornell founded Happening Photos in 2007 to better serve the event market. Steve Hart is an award-winning documentary photographer whose work for the New York Times, People Magazine and other news and editorial publishers spans more than 25 years. He has won the Leica Medal of Excellence, the Gordon Parks Award, an ICP Infinity Award, and many others for his photojournalism. His photos can be found in the collections of the Bibliothéque Nationale in Paris, the Corcoran Museum of Art in Washington, the Museum of Fine Art in Houston, and the Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Photography in Tokyo. He has taught photojournalism at the International Center of Photography, Rutgers University and the School of Visual Arts. Jacques Cornell is an event and travel photographer with over 15 years' professional experience around the world. His fine-art work has been collected in the U.S., Ireland and Japan and appears in the permanent collection of the Kiyosato Museum of Photographic Art in Japan. He has taught digital imaging at the International Center of Photography and the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City.
