Hola! Thanks for stopping by! We are Dmitri and Sandra, husband and wife wedding photography team. We are inspired, in love and crazy about photography. We live in west Maui with our two amazing, talented and gorgeous kiddos. Our son Ezra and daughter Zoey. We are both full time photographers and enjoy, traveling, great food, vino, the outdoors, long beach days, a great flick, pizza & beer and anything, at anytime with our little whippersnappers! D&S As Photographers We have been photographing weddings in Hawaii and the west coast since 2007. We approach weddings as journalists first. Documenting your day as it unfolds with attention to detail, emotion and real moments. Always striving to respect the integrity of those moments. Coming from different backgrounds, we see things differently. This reflects in our photography.This keeps us fresh, and always striving for something unique. As a couple "Our Story" Dmitri, "I met Sandra in February of 2006 at a local pub called Fish and Game. Now the world famous Maui Brewing Co. I was there for a couple beers with some of the boys I grew up and surf with. I couldn't stop staring at this sexy latina that I had never seen before. She was crazy exotic beautiful and staring back. We flirted from across the bar all night and after a couple beers I introduced myself and gave her my number on a napkin, such a dork. Of course she never called me :( Sandra, "I thought he was super hot but thought he must be a player to give me his number on a napkin. I was intrigued but never called him. A few months later I was hitchhiking and he passed me!! He looked straight at me and I couldn't believe he did not stop to pick me up! I was so upset. Dmitri, "I had a friend with me so I passed her, dropped my buddy off at his house, and turned around to pick her up." Sandra, “It was a short ride but I realized that my first thoughts about him were totally wrong. He was not a player at all! He was soft spoken and shy. We said goodbye and I didn't think I would see him again. Dmitri, "4th of July 2006. Hard Rock Cafe Lahaina. It was packed. Raging. Everyone in town was there. I was dancing with my date and from across the dance floor I locked eyes with Sandra. She was dancing with some dude but staring straight at me the whole time. I was doing the same. We ended up ditching our dates and dancing together the rest of the night. We shut the place down. We exchanged numbers and rest is history! About Dmitri I was raised in Hawaii by two of the most interesting people in the world. My dad was a rebel and always challenging or running from the authorities. A wild man who lives a wild life to this day. My mom is a yogi. Dedicated to the art for 30 plus years and one of the best and most respected female yogis on the planet. She lives off the grid, out in the country on the Big Island. Solar power and water catchment. Super-woman. I am now a father of two and a husband. My wife is divine and extraordinary. I admire her. I am an athlete. A Gracie Jiu-jitsu black belt and competitor. I am a waterman. Surfing is in my blood and I will always be near the ocean. Keeping the attitude of the eternal amateur, I strive to keep learning all the intricacies of life, love and art. About Sandra I am Peruvian and have an accent. I was born in Huancayo, a city in the highlands of Peru and raised in the capital city Lima. Peru is truly special! The people, the culture, the food, the landscapes. In my last year of college I won a lottery – the Diversity Visa Lottery and my prize was a residency in the U.S. The only catch was that I had to leave Peru with in six months, just enough time to finish school. I always had a connection with Maui. I had two aunts I had visited many times on the Island. I just felt that that was where I should start. I moved with one suitcase and my laptop. Two weeks after arriving I met my life partner and knew it was meant to be.
