Description

One of the nation's finest entertainers, Riley Wilson begins his 37th year of live performances in 2009. He combines custom recorded tracks with live acoustic and electric guitars and vocals for a sound that surpasses many larger groups! A veteran voiceover artist, his vocals and guitar are combined with a flair for showmanship few entertainers can match. A 1984 graduate of Hollywood's famed "Musicians' Institute," Riley actually guest lectured at the school while still enrolled as a student! He's a guitar teacher and writer whose work has appeared in "Electronic Musician, ""Gig," Guitar World," "Singer & Musician" and "Vintage Guitar" magazines. He appears live in three formats- solo guitar and vocal gigs with or without tracks, duo gigs with "Think Twice" and trio performances with "Sojourn." He's backed performers like Fabian, Frankie Ford, Peggy Sue and Sonny Wright, Big Joe Turner, comedians Roger and Roger and Chuck Jackson. He's opened shows with performers as diverse as The Four Tops, Iron Butterfly, Ray Charles, John Anderson, Willie Nelson, Gene Watson, Ernest Tubb and Johnny Rivers. Feedback

  • Many of our guests complimented us on how Great our musician was. Thanks Riley!!! We will definately be calling you again! -- Kim W, Mckinney, TX, 10/24/2009
  • Riley went above and beyond to ensure he was prepared for our event. He visited the venue to avoid surprises; he clarified the styles of music we requested; he confirmed that the attire he had mind for the evening was appropriate. The video he has posted on the internet gives you an idea as to the quality of his sound, but it does not do justice to his presence "in person". His voice is smooth and as flawless as his guitar playing. Many of the guests went out of their way to comment to me how impressed they were with talent. We will, with no doubt, call Riley for any future entertainment needs or if one of our sons should choose to take guitar lessons! -- Christy L, Frisco, TX, 10/17/2009
  • Riley was great! We pieced this event together last minute and he was very flexible and accommodating to our needs/changes. He's a talented musician and was a definite PLUS add to our evening! -- Jack P, The Colony, TX, 9/30/2009

  • The Riley Wilson Trio played at our wedding and reception on 10-18-08. They are excellent and I highly recommend this band to anyone needing live music for a special occasion. They are very professional and very talented. They were willing to accommodate every special request we had for the ceremony and the reception music. Our guest raved and raved about how good the band was and how they were able to play all different types of music (country, rock, 80's, classical, etc.) We are so happy the Riley Wilson Trio played at our wedding; they were truly one of the main components that made our wedding day so special and memorable. -- Laura H, San Antonio, TX, 10/18/2008
