Double Vision Country Band from Jacksonville, FL

"DOUBLE VISION" is a multi-award winning Duo "Gene & Micki Farington," playing variety-style music - everything from Blues, Country, Oldies and Classic Rock to a few Big Band-Era songs. They've played all across the country and aboard ship with a 8 year stop performing in Branson, Missouri. In 2012 "DOUBLE VISION" moved to Jacksonville, FL to spend time with family. As Gene says, "Loudness will never be a problem because we have a volume knob on our PA system and know how to use it." They use tracks and are a self-contained duo. Gene sings and plays his guitar synthesizer, and Micki always sings her heart out for the audience. "DOUBLE VISION" - They are always trying to enlarge their song list. If you will go to "Song List" on this site, you will see the songs we are currently performing. Through the years Gene & Micki have been named and nominated "Duo of the Year" multiple times. Gene has also been named "Instrumentalist of the Year" and "Producer of the Year" several times, and Micki has her fair share of awards. She's been named "Female Vocalist of the Year" and "Media Personality of the Year." With all of this being said, Micki & Gene simply sums it all up by saying, "We try to be proficient at our craft, and we enjoy entertaining people and putting a smile on their faces. Gene & Micki have traveled all over the United States performing in 1,010 Wal-Mart Super Centers for Grand Openings and other special events, and this is where they learned to control their volume. They have sung for an audience of one person who was in the hospital, to as many as a concert of 10,000 screaming fans wanting to have a "Good time." After living "on the road" for years, in 2004 they settled down in Branson, MO and made that their home-base for 8 years, playing it different theaters and various venues. They believe in audience participation in their performances by getting them to clap and sing-a-long with their music. "The more we do that," says Micki, "the easier it is to become more of a party among friends than just us showing you how good we can play and sing." In 2012 they moved to Jacksonville Florida to spend time with family. They are now wanting to work within a 2 hour drive of Jacksonville..
