Melodie Somers comes to the act from 20 years of experience as an actress in professional theatre On and Off Broadway, where she worked with playwrights David Mamet, Christopher Durang, Romulus Linney, Arthur Giron, Hal Corley, Shirley Lauro, Frank Gilroy, Curt Dempster and even the late Tennessee Williams. She was fortunate to have worked with Tony Award winning director Jerry Zaks several times, as well as, Carl and Rob Reiner. A founding member of Ensemble Studio Theatre in New York City, she was best known in the business as an actress, a master teacher of actor's craft and a coach of professional actors in New York City. Melodie still coaches actors and singers in New York and New Jersey. But in 2005, she returned to her love of singing with SOMERS & STEEL. Since that time, Melodie also sang lead and bass with "StreetHeart," an all female acappella DooWop group, in New Jersey for two years.

Don Adamczyk grew up in Bayonne, New Jersey. Don has been pursuing his love of music since the late 1960's. A self-taught guitarist, his first "gig" was as a guitar teacher at Piero's School of Music in Bayonne. In his long and extensive musical career as a bass and guitar player, organist, singer, and song writer, Don has been fortunate to have worked with many talented and successful bands, such as oldies band, "The Belleville Pike,""Angela Bacari Show Band;" hard rock quintet,"Free Will,"; "Starbright"/"The Norris Brothers"/"Liberty Bell;" NJ's #1 Disco Band, "The Chatter Band,";"Northern Lights" /"Zapp;" a country rock quintet, "Quicksand,"; as well as, "Miracle," a banquet and wedding band. It is in Don's elaborate home studio where he now creates his magic and designs the custom tracks of the many instruments for the full band sound of SOMERS & STEEL. His expertise in sound balance and management, is why the duo can play just as successfully in a home or party room as it can in a large dance hall or on an outdoor concert stage. Don sings lead, harmony and back-up and plays his guitar live, while Melodie sings lead, harmony and back-up and adds live percussion at every performance. And yes, if the song requires four or five part harmonies, you will hear their voices on the tracks as well. It's all custom made. THERE'S NOTHING LIKE LIVE MUSIC!
