As the name implies, Soul Purpose is steeped in a true Soul/R&B tradition that offers the audience a combination of dance hits and soulful sounds from the '60's to the '80's, with an occasional tune from recent/current pop charts. With 11 members, including a 4-piece horn section, they regularly cover tunes by such artists as Aretha Franklin, James Brown, Stevie Wonder, Tina Turner, Marvin Gaye and Gladys Knight.


You will find them playing nightclubs, weddings, private parties, corporate events, civic events and festivals. Soul Purpose has also recently been booked to open for artists such as Peter Noone, Mickey Dolenz and Bobby Sherman (Teen Idol Tour), The Beach Boys, The Tams, The Impressions, and The Swinging Medallions, while appearing at The Macon Cherry Blossom Festival, Stone Mountain's Yellow Daisy Festival, Six Flags Over Georgia and Lake Lake Lanier Islands' concert series.

• Soul Purpose was hired as musical entertainment for our 60th annual policeman's ball. Everyone enjoyed the entire night. There was never a time that the dance floor was empty. With age groups ranging from 21 to over 60 the band accomadated everyone's dancing needs. Thank you Soul Purpose for a wonderful experience.
