Formed in 2004, LIGHTNING HAND is a Blues-based Rock'n'Roll band from Sacramento, CA. While we have been described as a "Blues/Rock" or "Classic/Rock" band, LIGHTNING HAND plays a full night of covers and original music with an emphasis on 60's and 70's music, although we do play some 80's-present. Fans of Eric Clapton, Allman Brothers, Grateful Dead, The Band, Rolling Stones, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Black Crowes, Tom Petty, Lynyrd Skynrd, Jerry Jeff Walker, and traditional Blues & Americana will absolutely love the band!! We have been rated #1 band in Rock, Covers, Americana, Acoustic, Southern Rock and Wedding band in Northern California and Sacramento band here at Gigmasters, the nation's biggest on-line booking agency, earning us a 5 star rating. LIGHTNING HAND has been entertaining crowds in Sacramento and Northern California for quite some time. We have played just about every hotspot here in Sacramento including Marilyn's on K, The Torch Club, Powerhouse Pub and Constable Jacks as well as ARCO Arena, Raley's Field, Konocti Harbor, Harvey's in Tahoe and Laguna Del Sol. The band has also opened/played before for ZZ Top, Journey, The Parrotheads, David Gans, and Mumbo Gumbo. Make no mistake, LIGHTNING HAND has a unique and original sound, which proudly separates us from bands that just play 'Blues' or just play 'Country'. We do it all, with our own sound. You might hear a Blues song and then a straight-up Rock song and then an Americana song(although we will cater to your preferences). LIGHTNING HAND likes to share it's passion for music, and at the end of the show leave you saying "What great music!", not just "What a good Blues band". We also give the option to our clients to custom-make their own setlists if they like, by chosing whatever songs they would like to hear from our extensive songlist. Looking for ACOUSTIC only?? • These guys will not let you down. They are not only the most professional band members I know, but the most accommodating and extremely talented. • From beginning to end I can't imagine having a better experience than with this band. Every request was accomodated and they were able to work with every suggestion we had. • Well where do I start? Lightning Hand Rocks! we had to change venues at the last minute due to weather and they still showed up on time and with booming energy that was focused on the success of our event. The band was comprised of players that loved to play as much as we loved to listen. The group was one of the most giving and open minded easy going group I have ever worked with. • Lighting Hand did an AMAZING job at our wedding!!!! They started with acoustic music during dinner (which allowed for folks to visit without shouting) and then took it up several notches after dinner and the dance floor was packed all night long. • I am so thrilled with our experience with the Gigmasters website. We weren't sure about the genre we wanted and your website is so broad. We auditioned quite a different range music, 50's-90's. • First thing to say, guest loved them and gave positive comments about them and the band had them dancing and they didn't want to quit. Many family members went to the jazz festival the next day and came back saying "I don't know why we went, we had the best band last night". I was impressed that I asked them to come over and give feedback on location a few weeks early and they did. They came early and set up in order not to intefer with ceremony and catier.
