La Jolla Strings String Quartet from San Diego, CA

Hello and thank you for considering La Jolla Strings! We are professional players currently active in freelance playing, teaching, recording and orchestral playing. We are NOT students and we are NOT retired string players. We play currently and often keeping us in good shape musically. This allows us to offer you the best in string performance with the most professional, current sound for that extra special event. We can provide formal or informal performances, and our musical offerings range from classical to POP, Jazz, Opera, Tangos and holiday music; whatever your dreams are for the music at your event we will do our best to accommodate you. We are a professional group treating you as our client and number one priority!! We can offer 2-5 players for strings ensembles, cello and guitar, solo flute (or flute added to an ensemble), or solo cello/solo violin. We can accompany your singer soloist upon request. This flexibility allows for the ensemble to be featured music for private house parties, weddings, holiday events, inclusion as part of an orchestra for houses of worship or wherever string sections are needed. We will pull out all the stops and search for special music upon request but not all songs are arranged for strings. Please note that we cannot provide a recording of every song we do but we can send you a current song list upon request. This does not mean this is all we can play, it only means this is all the music we own currently. It is possible to have a song commissioned for a small fee as long as time allows. We are experienced in the recording studio for not only the aforementioned genre but also for rock, jazz, tango and contemporary artists. We have string players who play electric instruments with effects so we are available for recording or performing with your band that might want that effect in their mix. We can work with your pianist (or ours) to accompany a solo instrument performance. You will not see many gig masters testimonials as we would prefer to provide our clients with references upon request. We charge a flat rate of $30 for administration of your event and then our hourly fees are charged depending on the instruments you want and the type of program you desire as well as the location of your event. All we require is a small deposit to hold your date. Adding La Jolla Strings to your event is sure to add that "something special" making for a unique and memorable time. We receive so many complements from guests of our clients where they are so surprised to have looked over to see a live quartet when they thought they were hearing a recording!!
