Description

Looking for ALL ACOUSTIC???????? HOMEGROWN SOUNDS, a Sacramento based acoustic trio, has been one of the hottest newcomers to the acoustic music scene in the past 10 years. The band plays Americana, Roots music, Bluegrass/Newgrass, Old-Timey and Classic/Rock, all done with that special Homegrown Sounds style. Songs from our set list include Tom Petty, Rolling Stones, Allman Brothers, Little Feat, Dave Rawlings, CCR, Grateful Dead, Black Crowes, Daryll Scott, Old Crow Medicine Show, Bob Dylan, Beatles, traditional Bluegrass/Americana, etc. The band consists of John Winger (Bass/Vocals), Eric Lazar (Guitar/Vocals) and Scott Williams (Guitar/Mandolin/Banjo/Vocals), who have all been a part of the Sacramento music scene for over 20 years.
Homegrown Sounds can be mellower background music for your event or more of a full blown acoustic concert with upbeat toe tappin' danceable songs. We do bring out a P.A. system in order for the audience to hear the instruments/vocals. However, we can also use 5 watt battery powered amps for those low volume/no amplification types of venues such as parks, etc.
The band has performed at dozens of weddings, private parties, wineries, fundraisers, corporate functions, festivals, and nightclubs including The Torch Club, Fitzpatrick Vineyards, Montoliva Vineyards, Sacramento Brewing Co., The Oasis, Skinner Vineyards, Laguna Del Sol, The Ridge, Woodbridge Crossing and many more.

Feedback

  • Homegrown Sounds is amazing! They played at our wedding reception and EVERYONE enjoyed the music. People were dancing and singing along all night. Many of the guests are still raving about Homegrown Sounds, weeks after the wedding! It is the thing that people mention most as a highlight of the wedding reception. I highly recommend having Homegrown Sounds play at your next event! -- Christiana M, Glen Ellen, CA, 4/22/2012
  • Great band. I was new to Gigmasters and exactly didn't know what to expect. Would highly reccomend Homegrown Sounds to anyone. I got comments about how it was some of the best acoustic music they'd ever heard. They were very professional and accomodating. Thanks again. -- Evan S, Rocklin, CA, 1/9/2010
  • They were absolutely wonderful. We have had them play for us before and will do so again. We actually moved the date of this party- just so they could play! Love them! Laurie Lock -- Laurie L, Roseville, CA, 4/9/2011
  • We had a fantastic experience with Homegrown Sounds! They were so fun and easy to work with before our wedding and really made the day of such a special event. We had them play ceremony, procession to the poolside cocktail hour and dinner music -- all of which was on point. We also had a challenging location, which Homegrown Sounds accommodated to the fullest, even helping us secure some additional equipment. The overall value was probably one of the best of the entire day. They took special song requests and really sounded amazing at our outdoor wedding event. I hope we can use them again in the future! -- Daniela F, Calistoga, CA, 8/28/2010
  • Homegrown sounds was Fantastic! They did an outstanding job with my requests and I can not thank them enough for making this birthday event one that I will never forget. I will be booking them for our families next big event Thanks Guys! -- Lisa P, Granite Bay, CA, 5/29/2010
  • We couldn't have been any happier. Very accommodating and extremely talented. We would hire them again without question! -- George A, Bolinas, CA, 7/16/2011
  • These guys made our party a Smash Hit! They were very accommodating and worked well with us! I would 100% recommend these guys for your your next party or wedding reception. On time and ready to play on schedule. They even took some requests that they normally do not play! Thanks Guys for a wonderful experience. -- Winter R, Roseville, CA, 7/14/2011
  • These guys step it up a notch every time they perform here. Can not wait till next season to book them again. One of the most highly recommended acoustic bands in Northern California. Keep up the good work Boys! -- Winter R, Fairplay, CA, 7/9/2011
  • Once again these guys are awesome! Very professional and entertaining. Every gig they have added new songs and changed a few out to keep their music fresh and exciting. They will definitely be performing for us again. This has to be one of the easiest bands that I have to manage as they almost book themselves. -- Winter R, Fairplay, CA, 7/8/2011
