Description

Solo guitarist/vocalist with over 20 years of performing experience. Extensive client list featuring corporate venues, restaurants, country clubs, weddings, bars, benefits, and private parties for every occasion. Whether you need an intimate acoustic guitar set or a high energy dance show, I can make it happen! My focus is on your event and the right music and mood you want whether you need me to be the life of the party or keep it more in the background.

I have performed for years in solo, duo, trio, and full band formats. My huge repertoire is always growing and features songs from the 60's to today - classic and current pop, rock, R&B, acoustic gems, plus a bit of blues and country too. There's a wide variety of songs so please check out the list below! I play harmonica and slide guitar on some selections and enhance the show with audio loops, vocal harmonizer, and even background tracks if your guests would like to dance to give you a full band sound.

No worries here - just check out my client feedback. As you'll be able to tell, I love to play and always have fun with the crowd - I might even drag you up to help sing if you're not too shy! I perform with a top notch sound system and supply everything - lights if necessary, lavalier mic, guest mics, and recorded music during breaks (also customizable by request). I'm dependable, professional, and committed to making your next party or special event a perfect success!

Feedback

  • Glenn did another amazing job at our party. (I even think he sounded better than the first time he played for us!) On time and extremely professional, Glenn was able to roll with a small power issue and provide a great show and environment for my 40th birthday bash. A true talent, Glenn is very east to work with, keeps in contact and delivers as promised. In fact, I've already penciled him in to play at at tailgate party once September and football season rolls around again. Thanks for making our gathering a hit before the big snowstorm. My friends are still talking about what a great time they had. -- Patrick S, Athens, GA, 1/8/2011
  • Lonesome Joe played at a Rehearsal Dinner for us. He was great! Communication prior to the event was strong. He was right on time and brought all the gear - no need for us to provide anything. He played all the songs that we love. Would highly recommend him! -- Amy M, Jasper, GA, 7/31/2009
  • Glenn was everything I could have hoped for when looking for music for our wedding. He was extremely professional and courteous. He has an amazing talent for planning and scheduling. Glenn was an enormous help by making suggestions as to the timing of specific events for the wedding that I was concerned about (first dance, cake cutting...). He ensured that the entire process was as stress-free as possible. Glenn allowed for the music to be one of the "least-obsessed" over areas of our wedding. What a blessing that was! He took requests and all the songs were performed beautifully. He even got my Grandmother up and dancing. Hire Glenn, you won't regret it! -- Matt A, Atlanta, GA, 6/4/2011
  • Lonesome Joe was the perfect entertainer for our birthday party. His song selection was the right mix for the wide age range of attendees. His energy level and crowd interaction was the best. I can't say enough times how pleased we were with everything about our experience. Thanks, Lonesome Joe, for a great time! -- Pat G, Birmingham, AL, 2/23/2008
  • Lonesome Joe was very professional. He called after we had agreed on a price. He wanted to make sure that everything was taken care of. He was very prompt with giving us a phone call, song choice and on his arrival. He set up quietly while the party was still going on and did an excellent job. He was perfect for our evening and we really enjoyed him. I would recommend him for any party and hope that we will be able to have him back again. We got so many compliments on having Lonesome Joe here. He was very polite to all of the party guests. What a great job he did!! -- Cheri V, Marietta, GA, 8/23/2008
  • Lonesome Joe performed at short notice for a surprise party. He was professional, on-time and entertaining! He really made the party special! -- Susan S, Cumming, GA, 7/16/2010
  • Glenn was perfect for our party. He played at a beach party (lake beach pavillion) for my husband's 50th birthday. Everyone complimented our choice. He was early and set up without fanfair. He was friendly and nice to all of our guests. He did a great job introducing the surprise and leading the Happy Birthday singing (unrehersed/unplanned). His music choices were perfect, even without much input from me. I appreciate that he went with the flow of things even if it might not have been his personal choice. I wholeheartedly recommend him! -- Colleen G, Villarica, GA, 5/7/2011
  • He arrived for our event 2 hours prior to our start time to allow ample time to set up and make sure we all communicated the needs of the evening. When it was time for him to end, he thanked everyone. One of our guests asked him if he would mind staying longer, Lonesome Joe accepted and we continued to take requests for our quests. We will use him in the future as well. He was awesome. -- Sandi T, Canton, GA, 2/28/2009
  • Lonesome Joe did a terrific job for me. I wouldn't hesitate to use his services again! -- Warren B, Dallas, TX, 6/10/2010
  • Lonesome Joe did a wonderful show, the crowd loved his performance! -- Sounya S, Jasper, GA, 9/20/2008
  • Lonesome Joe was a wonderful performer. He had a great mix of songs that everyone really enjoyed listening to. He has some great talent and made the party a big hit. A lot of people asked about him for their future events. Lonesome Joe played outside on the deck so the neighbors were able to hear him. The neighbors enjoyed listening to him and thought he was great- they would like to have him play at their neighborhood party. -- Meredith H, Atlanta, GA, 3/3/2007
  • I found Lonesome Joe from an internet search which was a little scarey for me, but after talking with him, I knew he was perfect and I need not worry about that aspect of the party. He is very easy-going, accommodating and a really nice guy. And wow, very talented! I would highly recommend Lonesome Joe! -- Linda M, Acworth, GA, 8/9/2008
  • Lonesome Joe was a crowd pleaser!! I even had the young adults telling Joe how awsome they thought he was. He was very flexible with our group, and had a large range of songs foe everyone. He will be invited back again for our next Shindig!!! -- Teresa H, Duluth, GA, 6/2/2007
  • Lonesome Joe performed for our annual party for the second year in a row. His performance was outstanding. We plan to book him for all our future events. -- Erby F, Birmingham, AL, 12/15/2007
  • Lonesome Joe was a big hit! He played great music, got the audience involved, and was very accomoadating to our requests. I specifically asked in advance for a few songs that weren't on his playlist, and he learned them and played them like it was old hat. We had a great time, and I would definitely book him again. -- Cassidy H, Alpharetta, GA, 10/6/2007
  • I have hired many entertainers over the years...and I would tell you that Lonesome Joe is a great guy for the job. I recently had the good pleausre of having Joe entertain for our office Christmas Party first at a semi formal event then at a casual spot and he did a great job in both. Our group throughly enjoyed him and he is very talented and doesn't mind in fact encourages others to join in the fun. He was well worth his fee and is on my A LIST going forward. Ray Hornsby.
