Hiring a bagpiper may be a once in a life time event for you and your family. If not, then you may already have an idea as to what the pipes are supposed to sound like when they are played well. The Bagpiper market is represented by people with vast experience and people with no experience. As a bagpipe teacher, a lot of my students sometimes feel that when they get a set of pipes and a kilt, they are ready to play gigs. Nothing could be further from the truth. I make a nice living, playing, teaching and selling bagpipes. I also have a network of bagpipers who I have qualified to represent my business. The bid that I submit to you, will be fairly priced giving you the best quality musical performers in the area. It's not the fancy kilt or the horse haired sporran that you will remember years after the event, but how the pipes made you feel when you heard them. Badly played bagpipes are often remembered the longest. Classical musicians often joke that the bagpipe is not a musical instrument and that bagpipers weren't musicians. My Collegues and I are classical musicians that play this instrument. I hope you make a wise decision and hire us for your next event.
