What's the difference between FAST LANE and other bands?

No matter how large or small your event and/or venue, FAST LANE will perform with the same passion and intensity during each and every performance. FAST LANE blends musical styles into an explosion of funky grooviness that keeps dancers on the floor till last call.

SCOTT FREE emerged from the Northeast in a full fury of musical ideas. He's been playing professionally since his formative years - sneaking in to play club gigs as an underageling. He has played with a wide variety of musical stars - Bernie Worrell, George Clinton, Parliament/Funkadelic, Bo Diddley, to name a few. His musical repertoire is impressive ranging from country to r and b to rock, but inherent is the deep down funkiness.....evident in his contributions to FAST LANE.

VERNON MONTOYA studied music theory in Boston, wrote songs since he was a teenager, recorded music in his early twenties. He learned to tinkle the ivories under fire. His jazz comping lays down the background that moves the groove......of the melodies from FAST LANE.

JON JACKSON is our only Gainesville native. A GATOR by birth, he is a highly sought after drummer in North Central Florida. He produces upcoming musical artists, when he is not drumming for --------the FAST LANE!!!

KEITH LADD hails from Clearwater, Florida. He lays the bottom, the foundation for FAST LANE's sounds. As a first call bassist in central florida, he is well regarded for his soulful sounds and mastery of the bottom end. He brings his jazzy influence....to the FAST LANE

LACY GIFFORD, and MICHELLE BANFIELD, the "Speed Bumps", bring their considerable vocal talents to the FAST LANE. They add tight harmonies and intricate choreography, which will enhance you total entertainment experience. With their unique skill, you will always want to stay in ........the FAST LANE!!!!!



With FAST LANE, you get a full service entertainment group. We can provide our own PA system and lights, We can do double duty as a DJ, we can be the Master of Ceremonies for your event. We show up on time and work well with our hosts to insure the best entertainment possible, that way the host can concentrate on what's important..having fun..with FASTLANE!

• The Fast Lane played at my wedding in October 2010, and was a HUGE hit! We knew we wanted to hire a band, hoping it would make the event more lively and get everyone up and dancing instead of sitting at their table waiting for the next thing to happen. Fast Lane provided not only music, but ENTERTAINMENT all night, no guest was left waiting for what happens next. They made all the announcements throughout the evening fun by singing a jingle instead of bossing the herd of guests to the next room. I am not exaggerating in that the FIRST compliment we get from 90% of guests is for the band. Vernon is so professional in the booking and details.
