Former WINDHAM HILL RECORDS recording artist and Los Angeles area resident Carol Tatum is available for your wedding or event.

Carol performs mostly as a SOLO HARPIST but is also available as HARP DUO (harp/flute) or her noted HARP TRIO (harp/flute/cello) called ANGELS OF VENICE.

Carol performs for WEDDINGS, corporate and private events, parties, festivals, etc. Carol's group, Angels Of Venice, has performed for The SCREEN ACTORS GUILD AWARDS (first two years), Henry Kissinger, Cardinal Roger Mahoney, Phyllis Diller, BOB HOPE, STING, Don Henley and many more. Carol has also PLAYED FOR MANY CITIES: The City Of Los Angeles, The City Of Beverly Hills, The City Of Pasadena, The City Of Alhambra, Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce, etc. and for CHARITIES such as WeSpark (recently seen on 'Entertainment Tonight' and 'Access Hollywood' {July, 2004}), Project Angel Food, Children's Health Coalition, etc.

Carol appeared in an episode of 'EXTREME MAKEOVERS: WEDDING EDITION' (Channel 7/ABC) as a harpist in a wedding scene with Liza Minelli singing for the reception. Carol also appeared as a harpist on the reality show 'RENNOVATE MY FAMILY' with Jay McGraw (Dr. Phil's son).

BIOGRAPHY/CREDITS:
Carol has TOURED THE UNITED STATES and was a featured artist on Windham Hill's 'Winter Solstice' tour performing at The Kennedy Center and other performing arts centers (3,500+ seats). Her Windham Hill CD 'Angels of Venice' was submitted by her record label for a GRAMMY NOMINATION. She is on twenty one Windham Hill compilation CDs including 'Conversations with God, Disc 2,' 'Here, There and Everywhere: The Songs of the Beatles,' 'Winter Solstice On Ice' (including DVD), 'Summer Solstice I,' 'Summer Solstice II,' and more. Carol is a member of S.A.G. (Screen Actors Guild) and her music has been featured in documentaries, commercials and the feature film "Big Bully" with veteran soul group The Dramatics.

CAROL IS A GLOBAL ARTIST WITH FIVE CDs. Carol's recordings have been featured on NPR's syndicated radio program 'Echoes' airing to 165 national radio stations and are also SOLD INTERNATIONALLY including Japan and Europe. Her second CD 'Awake Inside A Dream' was reviewed in Billboard Magazine and 'HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.' Carol's most recent recording is a holiday CD entitled 'Sanctus' which was featured on an NPR radio show and played in it's entirety twice on Christmas Day. WEDDING INFORMATION:
Carol's RATES ARE REASONABLE and she will travel from Santa Barbara to Palm Springs to San Diego and all of Southern California as well as to Arizona, Las Vegas, Texas, etc. and any out-of-state arrangements can be made.

Carol plays a CUSTOM MADE HARP and her harp tone is characterized as WARM, RICH, AND FULL SOUNDING unlike the thin, brittle tone of most harps. CAROL'S BEAUTIFUL HARP LOOKS LIKE AN ANTIQUE with tasteful gold leaves and vines painted on the soundboard.

Most brides do not realize that AN UMAMPLIFIED HARP IS HARD TO HEAR ~ CAROL PROVIDE AN AMP FOR FREE. Most harpists only play acoustically or run an amp without proper knowledge of EQ resulting in a thin, brittle sound. CAROL PLAYS THROUGH AN AMP OR A PROFESSIONAL P.A. SYSTEM and has many years of knowledge and experience running sound, thus creating a warm, beautiful, clear harp tone.

THEMED EVENTS, such as the Renaissance, Celtic, Middle Eastern, etc., are available (Carol also plays the hammered dulcimer in the middle eastern/santour style).

Very LARGE P.A. SYSTEMS (300+ guest weddings) and lighting provided to Carol by G2 Audio, Los Angeles, California. SPECIAL PROPS (such as LARGE, BEAUTIFUL CANDELABRAS AROUND THE HARP) AND COSTUMING for themed events can also be provided.
