Daniel and his cohort of talented musicians brought just the right amount of class and energy to our wedding on Cold Mountain. These guys have a knack for knowing just the right song to play at just the right time, and were able to keep the flow of the evening in perfect order. Every bride and groom wants their guests to have a blast at their wedding and C.I. made sure of it. Everything was absolutely great with Current Invention. From the very beginning they were helpful with providing information to how the reception would flow, the progression of music in the sets, and listening to what we wanted for music. They asked for any special requests we had for the first dance and father/daughter dance, and the songs sounded great. This was one of the major things we wanted at the reception was a live band to get people dancing, and they did exactly that. Thanks a lot!!

Current Invention was the perfect band for our wedding, providing an assortment of musical styles that included jazz, rock, and rythym & blues. While many bands advertise a vast catalog, this band truly has the talent to flow seamlessly from one style to the next, never missing a beat. From the cool flow of Miles Davis during an elegant dinner to a rockin' version of Love Shack, these guys blew the top off our wedding and left everyone wanting more. And in their accommodating style, they came back for an extra set to make the evening that much more special. Current Invention was absolutely wonderful, we could not have asked for anything more! One of my first memories at the reception was dancing our first dance, realizing how wonderful the song sounded and looking over at the band and they looked so happy! Like they were having as much fun as we were. They even learned three songs for us and all of them were fabulous! I scheduled Current Invention for my brother's wedding. Their skill level is fantastic. Their sensitivity to what styles and what kind of energy would be best as the night progressed was perfect. They were easy to talk details with, extremely flexible and a pleasure to do business with. I was especially impressed with how skilled they were with playing jazz. I was blown away by their renditions of Miles Davis's "Footprints" and Pat Metheny's "James." Their rock, R&B and motown really kept people dancing and held the crowd's attention throughout the night. Book them today!

We had the most remarkable experience this past weekend while attending my daughter's wedding. The events culminated in a reception being held at the conservatory at the Biltmore where Daniel Barber and Current Invention performed. They are lots of fun and worked to meet every need of our diverse group of guests. They are fantastic in terms of professionalism and talent and they are genuinely nice people. Current Invention was the band for our wedding reception and they MORE than satisfied our expectations! They were really great! Since my daughters wedding was a destination wedding and we were unfamiliar with the local talent we really had to depend on Gigmasters rating system and the general feeling I got from just talking with Daniel Barber of Current Invention. I was not the least bit dissappointed. Daniel listened carefully to what I was looking for and tailored the band to our needs. His follow through and attention to details were outstanding. Everyone raved about them and the female vocalist was sensational. If they are good, a live band makes all the difference (the dance flour was packed) and for what we got the money we spent was well worth it.

Daniel and the guys (and girl) from Current Invention did an outstanding job at our wedding. From planning the wedding to playing that night, they got it all right. We were extremely pleased with Current Invention's performance at our daughter's wedding. The selection of songs was perfect and the vocalist and musicians were outstanding. They did an amazing job from jazz at dinner to rock and roll to get guests up and dancing to playing backup while Uncle Mike played "Puff The Magic Dragon". I highly recommend Current Invention. The band played for my wedding, and everyone absolutely loved the music! They have an amazing repertoire of music- light jazz, latin, and dance music. For our dinner reception, they set the tone with light jazz background and worked their way to dance music later in the night. The energy and the music had everyone up and dancing, and the band graciously took all requests throughout the night. I found the band to be very professional, highly talented, and very easy to work with. I would HIGHLY recommend this band to anyone.
