Description

Ava Lemert is an expressive vocalist, passionate saxophonist & a unique entertainer.

Ava has performed before thousands at professional sporting events for both the Sacramento Kings at ARCO Arean and several times for the Sacramento Rivercats at Raley Field. Ava has also been a musical guest several times on local TV: Good Day Sacramento, Sacramento and Company, as well as on KCRA singing the National Anthem in 2000 for the CA State Fair. Notable venues and locales Ava has performed in include the historic Sacramento Masonic Temple, Harlow's, MiX Downtown, Torch Club, Fugu Lounge, Po' Boyz, Catta Verdera Country Club, Timber Creek Events Center and many more including several Amador County wineries, and literally on the water of Lake Tahoe! She plays many types of events from intimate private shows, dinner parties, and restaurants to corporate events, "Sacramento Second Saturday" gallery receptions as well as for our elder citizens at many local assisted living communities.

Ava has several commercial releases in her growing discography, including seven singles and her debut contemporary jazz CD "From My Soul". Since its release December, 2009 her self-produced CD has enjoyed international airplay and is being distributed on all the major e-tailers such as iTunes and and physical copies grace the shelves of several "brick and mortar" shops in Austria, Japan, the Netherlands and the U.K. Her second CD "From Another Time" is a collection of twelve favorites from the American Songbook. Spanning a wide range of styles from blues, jazz and even country, Ava shows off her vocal range and dynamic saxophone play on evergreens such as "Stormy Weather" and the tender "Tennessee Waltz".

Ava's music projects have been graced by international recording artists such as Roger Smith (Tower of Power), Dante "Taz" Roberson (Najee), Cam Perridge (Tony Toni Tone'), James Davis (Winans Family), and Derrick Hall (Edwin Hawkins). Ava Lemert's own music is a variety-packed blend of jazz, blues, rock 'n' roll, contemporary R&B, latin jazz, funk and smoldering soul that reminds one of the classics of the 1970's era.

As a live act, Ava sings and plays her alto and tenor saxophones typically accompanied by professionally-produced digital tracks, however she can also perform with her own professional "All Stars" band. With over 190 songs in her catalog, Ava customizes her shows and blends standards, originals, smooth jazz, vocals, ballads, pop, blues, bossa nova and many other styles. Her powerhouse voice requires no auto-tuning, no soundboard tricks to dazzle her audience. One has to see and hear Ava perform live to fully appreciate her naturally impressive talents and magnetic stage presence.

Feedback

  • Ava was completely professional and accomodating. She had to perform in a noisy restaurant, but perform she did! She was totally awesome. All of the guests at the party loved her music, and admired her for playing in noisy surroundings. She is a great musician and has a wonderful personality. I plan on seeing Ava play at one of her future engagements. Thank you GigMasters for finding Ava for me! Cindy -- Cindy Yeafoli, Sacramento, CA, 4/26/2010
  • Ava Lemert did a fantastic performance, vocal and sax. My guests were surprised of her astonishing performance. I highly recommended her to everyone. -- Zeny Almanzor, Lincoln, CA, 11/27/2010
  • The entire experience was wonderful! I can't stress enough how happy we were, as well as the guests and the person hosting the party - since this was a surprise to him. He asked Ava for a business card so he can book her for future events. Her sax playing and singing are heavenly, truly. She was very accomodating with her music selection, and in the end, we were able to leave it up to her judgement as to what to perform, and she really proved she could please a crowd. We would not hesitate to hire her services for another function. She is a very warm and friendly person, someone you feel you have known all your life. -- Denise Maloney, Roseville, CA, 12/29/2010
  • On a scale of 1-5, I rate Ava Lemert a 10+!! What a wonderful and talented lady! I loved her performance. The music playlist was a perfect mix of instrumentals and vocals. The tunes written by her are beautiful. The PA system sounds great and was at the perfect volume. I appreciated her flexibility and support in helping coordinate her performance time with another performer that started before her. I am known amongst my friends as a critic and I have nothing but great things to say about Ava - I love her sound!! -- Jacqueline Pryor, Sacramento, CA, 9/19/2011
