Dr. Tish Motivational Speaker from Rockledge, FL

Dr. Tish's mission is to encourage transformational perspectives and fruitful behaviors that empower becoming the best version of yourself. Having spent over a decade providing academic instruction, Dr. Tish now goes beyond the walls of instructional facilities to motivate others. Through inspirational teachings and trainings, she has inspired audiences of educators, military spouses, survivors of traumatic life events, church organizations, women and youth. Dr. Tish personally tailors presentations to meet the needs of groups/organizations. Though experiences are customized, all promote evaluating outlooks and constructing actions toward individual/group advancement. Dr. Tish provides powerful teachings that incorporate wit entangled with life experience and scholarship. Meet Dr. Tish Dr. Tish's gift of teaching was recognized at an early age. Her talents started with "playing school" and grew into tutoring and managing an entire after-school program by the age of 15. Raised in the poorest town in Georgia, Dr. Tish had a lot of odds to overcome including divorced parents, split rearing among grandparents, abuse, and teen pregnancy. Despite the obstacles in her life, Dr. Tish managed to graduate with honors in the top 10% (number 11) of her high school class. This led to her first speaking engagement (closing remarks during graduation). Dr. Tish's ability to command and motivate an audience did not go unnoticed. She garnered additional speaking roles for educational events and banquets, one of which was the McDuffie Scholarship and Loan Foundation that financially contributed to Dr. Tish's college education. Knowing her passion for educating whether through public speaking or academic instruction, Dr. Tish remained determined to meet her goals. Though she made progress in scholarly arenas, life continued to challenge her. By the age of 19, Dr. Tish became a military spouse with one child and another on the way. She balanced parenting, working, and attending classes at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. Before her degree was finished, Dr. Tish was offered a teaching assignment in her hometown and became a member of the Georgia Association of Educators. In 2001, Dr. Tish graduated earning a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education along with accolades such as Dean's List recognition, Pi Lambda Theta International Honor Society membership, and awards for minority leadership. During nearly 12 years in education, Dr. Tish served as a teacher (Elementary, Middle, and GED/Adult Education), extracurricular coach, instructional trainer, state staff development specialist, and administrator. While serving in the aforementioned positions, Dr. Tish was a member of various organizations to include North Dakota Association for Lifelong Learning and Mississippi Association of Educators. Along the way, she had a third child and remained a dedicated military spouse as she earned her Master's of Education in Administration and Supervision. As a testament to Dr. Tish's talents, she received State Teacher of the Year for the North Dakota Association for Lifelong Learning and Teacher of the Year twice in the state of Mississippi. As an active community member, Latisha also garnered the University of North Dakota Multicultural Services Harriet Tubman Award and Military Spouse of the Year for the 319th Mission Support Group. In 2014, Dr. Tish earned a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership. After the emotional high of earning her doctorate, only months later, her scholarly success would be overshadowed by the suicide of her youngest daughter. ???Scaling to the peak of educational career development, thereafter descending into the deepest valley of devastation, both influenced Dr. Tish's transition from an academic instructor to an inspirational teacher.
