Booking Mimes

Say the word "mime" and thoughts immediately flash to 1920s legends Charlie Chaplin, Buster Keaton and Marcel Marceau. Using not a single word, these highly talented performers conveyed emotions and messages through body language, movement and facial expressions. While the stereotypical mime artist is thought to dress in black and bear a white face, not all mimes follow this form of dress. Outfitted in any number of colors and costumes, mimes are loved by all no doubt because they intrigue as well as entertain us. Because a mime artist requires few, if any, props, s/he can work independently without the need for elaborate stage settings. Mime artists often use comedy or magic as part of their acts, which adds to the fascination audiences feel. Their flexibility and fun make mimes a wonderful and whimsical addition to grand openings, dinner parties, community events and more.

Tips For Booking A Mime
