Mariachi Las Caponeras Mariachi Band from Los Angeles, CA

Mariachi Femenil Las Caponeras was formed as recent as summer 2012. Formed by female mariachis in the Los Angeles mariachi scene, the purpose of this all female mariachi is preserve a traditional form of this Mexican Folk music. Member of Mariachi Las Caponeras have accompanied the following artist: Lola Beltran, Lucha Villa, Miguel A Mejia, Shaila Durcal, Gerardo Reyes, Chelo, Yesenia Flores, Cristian Castro, Carlos Ponce, Marco A Solis, Pedro Fernandez, Aida Cuevas, Joan Sebastian, Pepe Aguilar, Ana Gabriel and Nydia Rojas. Members of the group have performed for artist and public figures such as President Obama, John Travolta, Angelica Huston, Tom Petty, Brian Adams, George Harrison, Piolin, Emilio Estefan, Lucero, Jimmy Smits and Mia Hamm. Members have performed at prestigious venues such as the Hollywood Bowl, Greek Theater, The Gibson, Nokia, The White House, Anaheim Pond, Staples Center, Pico Rivera Sports Arena and the San Gabriel Mission Theater. Mariachi Las Caponeras strives to remain close to its roots and inspire young musicians with every performance.
