Description

TRIO SOL DE AMERICA is simply THE BEST Mariachi Trio in the San Francisco Bay Area. We provide quality entertainment for ANY occasion throughout the Bay Area and beyond. It's YOUR event. OUR goal? We want to help you make it perfect.

Our bids include everything; we do not charge our clients extra for driving time or gasoline. And we don't stick a video camera in our clients' face and ask for reviews, either -- listen to us and decide for yourself. We trust your ears will tell you the quality of our music. (That said, we do appreciate the good reviews given us by happy clients.)

We are talented professionals with more than 50 years of combined experience, a great sound and a wide repertoire of hundreds of great songs. We wear what you prefer -- traditional Charro (Gala) outfits if you like (including sombreros and serapes too if you wish) -- Suit and Tie, or, weather permitting, Guayabera. We generally play as a trio, but we can provide you with a soloist, a duet, or a quartet to suit your needs.

When you book us for your event, we'll be there ON TIME. And we'll be dressed for the occasion to your preference. Just let us know what you'd like. If amplification is necessary, we provide a sound system at no extra charge for 2 or more hours.

No matter what you're celebrating -- a wedding, a birthday, an anniversary, graduation....anything! — we can provide music that's appropriate and truly enjoyable. Bolero... ranchera... huapango... cumbia... corridos... sones... baladas... We play favorites from all the regions of Mexico, plus Central and South America. We have a large repertoire -- and it's growing, because we're always learning more songs (see our partial song list, below). Have a particular song in mind? Just ask.... requests are welcome -- and if it's a song we don't know, we'll make an effort learn it for you! We'll be happy to fit our music to your needs.

We also play the following classical wedding music: The Bridal Chorus (Here Comes the Bride)by Wagner; The Wedding March by Mendelssohn; Canon in D by Pachelbel.

Where we have performed:

* The Warfield, San Francisco * Oakland Coliseum * Henry J. Mello Center for the Performing Arts, Watsonville * Ironstone Vineyards, Modesto * Stanford University, Palo Alto * Whole Foods, Los Gatos (Cinco de Mayo celebration) * San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA) * Univision 14, San Francisco * ......and many others, too numerous to list individually

Feedback

  • Trio Sol de America are amazing mariachi musicians. And we got to see them play twice in one day! We saw them at the A's fiesta day in August. We liked them so we hired them to play for my dad's birthday. They were a surprise for my dad, they came in singing Las Mananitas for him. We asked them to come an hour early and they did, so nice! They played everything really beautiful, and everyone had so much fun. My dad likes Caifanes and they were at San Francisco last night so we had tickets to see them. Trio Sol de America played right after Caifanes and they were great! Double birthday surprise! I would definitely hire them again. -- Julie C, Union City, CA, 9/18/2011
  • Trio Sol De America was hired to perform at my niece's high school graduation party/fiesta. There were 250+ guests...toddlers, children, teenagers and adults alike, were delighted w/their fun performance. They made an effort to pay special attention to the graduate herself, but also took time to interact w/the other guests. They came prepared w/many fun songs to share, but also took requests. They took the time beforehand to ask about the specifics of the event, including giving my niece the opportunity to select the attire they would be wearing. It was a great party!!! -- Pamela B, Walnut Creek, CA, 6/11/2011
  • They arrived early, were absolute gentlemen, performed beautifully, I would never hesitate to rehire. -- Jeff P, San Rafael, CA, 5/14/2011
  • Trio Sol de America were thoroughly professional, entertaining, and accomodating. They were also very diplomatic, and did not smirk at my pathetic Spanish. Great group of musicians, which all our guests enjoyed. -- John C, Tiburon, CA, 4/30/2011
  • Trio Sol de America was FANTASTIC!! I would absolutely hire them again!! And Mary too!! Thank you Trio Sol de America for making my Artist of the Month reception, Birthday, Cinco de Mayo, Mothers Day, and our Gallery's 2nd anniversary events a night everyone will remember with smiles!! Best of Wishes, Tavia -- Tavia G, Alameda, CA, 5/7/2011
  • We totally enjoyed their performance and their professionalism and flexibility. It was a pleasure dealing with Mary, their liason person. We wish we could hear them on a regular basis! Highly recommend! -- Linda K, San Francisco, CA, 2/13/2011
  • They did a great job! I hired them to surprise my now-fiance with a serenade as I proposed, and they accommodated several special requests I made, and even took pictures of the big moment -- Pictures that my fiance and I will cherish for a lifetime. It was a romantic moment, and their music was the perfect soundtrack. -- Simon D, Stinson Beach, CA, 12/13/2010
  • My father's 60th birthday party wouldn't have been the same without Trio Sol de America. Everyone was having so much fun we extended the contract for two more hours! -- Claudia Q, Menlo Park, CA, 1/29/2011
  • My party wouldn't have been the huge success it was if it wasn't for Trio Sol de America. The played from the song list previously established and took request from our guests. We were so impressed with them, that we extended a 2 hr contract into 4 hrs. They brought professionalism, enthusiasm and so much "alegria"! Trio Sol de America is such a talented band. We will definitely hire them for our next event! My guest are still talking raving about the music. Thank you Daniel & Mary for being so flexible and easy to work with! GRACIAS!! GRACIAS!!! -- Jacqueline L, Newark, CA, 5/22/2010

  • Trio Sol De America was fantastic - they were everything I expected and more. They arrived on time, played throughout the agreed upon time, and performed beautifully. The performers were polite, personable and professional. Their musicianship and singning was excellent (as a group they sounded much bigger then three performers -fabulous). I can't say enough good things about them. If you are going to have an event and wan't a traditional Mariachi experience, I would highly recommend this group. -- Peter C, San Jose, CA, 10/29/2011
