September 2007 After a short Seattle summer, the Groove Messengers began the fall season with a bang opening at the Inn on the Corner in West Seattle. Featuring special guest artists, "Sweet Talkin' Jones" on sax and vocals, along with Chris Morda on guitar and vocals, the band was smokin' and the dance floor was hoppin'.

February 2007: Many thanks to the Rev. Deb Englelhardt for the nice write up in the February "Bluesletter" (page 12) from the Washington Blues Society. We ran into Deb at the Corner Inn in West Seattle where we played in January and became instant friends.

Come on out to Jay's Dance experience on Sunday, February 18 from 5-9 p.m. for an evening of West Coast Swing sponsored by the Seattle Swing Dance Club.

December, 2006: We've been working on getting some new sound clips on the website; be on the lookout for that before the New Year.

Thanks to everyone who's been coming out to the gigs including our mystery fans. You all rock! Especially in the third set. Be sure to come on out to the Corner Inn in West Seattle on Friday and Saturday, January 5th and 6th starting at 9:00 p.m. We'll be ready to party!

October 2006: The Groove Messengers begins a new chapter in its history by welcoming guitarist Pete Alba who comes to us from New Orleans where he played 5-7 nights a week, and received his masters in music. In the year that Pete has been in Seattle, he's become an established guitar technique and music theory instructor at the Seattle Drum School. We all knew he was the right guy when he came to audition and decided mutually on the spot that Pete was the one. Be sure to come on out to Forecasters on October 28 to give him a warm welcome. It's gonna be a fun gig.

September 2006: It has been a season of change as we look back on our first year together as the Groove Messengers. We've known for awhile that Sean would be leaving us to get his masters in music in California, but with his last gig with us at Legends Bar & Grill on September 9, reality set in. Good luck to you Sean! You'll always have a place in our hearts and on our stage.

July, 2006: It's already been a busy summer for the Groove Messengers! We really appreciate the support of our fans who come out rain or shine, with or without air conditioning during our recent heat wave. Maybe it's because you know we'll always give you the best show we've got under any circumstances.

Perhaps that's why we got invited to play at Legends Bar and Grill in West Seattle. Great blues venue. We're looking forward to joining their rotation during their busy season in the fall and winter. They said they liked us because our song selection and style set us apart from so many other blues bands.

It was great to be asked back to Forecasters at the Redhook Brewery in Woodinville. Thanks to Lee Clemetson for sitting in on keyboards, and to Anthony and Bryan, our guest horn section, for adding a whole new dimension to the song list.

February 4, 2006: Thanks to all who braved the biggest storm in 60 years to come out to our show at the Old Peculiar in Ballard! What a great crowd!

November 2005: Our new website is launched at thanks to Vida Productions!

October 2005: Fresh out of a great session at Alki Recording Studios, we are poised to launch our new website on the world wide web. Be on the lookout for it in November.
