TOTAL GROOVE is a fun, very versatile, world class band of Berklee's professors and alumni, that plays all styles: Swing, Pop, Rock n' Roll, Motown, Disco, Funk, R&B, Jazz, Jewish, Russian, top 40, dance music and more. The members of Total Groove have been performing and recording with the giants of the music industry, such as Tony Bennett, Nancy Wilson, Quincy Jones, John Hendricks, James Moody, Cassandra Wilson, Steve Gadd, Abraham Laboriel, Terri Lyne Carringron, Greg Osby, Marcus Miller, Artie Shaw just to name a few!
*In April 2011, the members of Total Groove recorded an album with the Two Grammy Winner, latin/jazz star Dave Samuels.
*Total Groove has been voted as a 2013 "Best of Weddings" Pick by The Knot Magazine and Website!
*Total Groove has over 800 songs in the song list!
*Total Groove is the only band that can learn any three songs just for your wedding free of charge, if you don't find them in our song list!
The core of Total Groove is vocal, piano, bass and drums. However, the band is expandable from a back ground solo piano or a jazz trio to a high energy dance band with any variety of instruments, (voice, sax, flute, violin, trumpet, accordion, etc..) according to your preference.
Whether it is a wedding, bar/bat mizvah, anniversary, private party, an elegant reception or a funky dance party, you can be assured that the band will sound fantastic, and that everyone at your event will have a blast. "Total Groove is an highly talented band! Being Berklee graduates, their talent and training,shone through in every song they played and in diversity their repertoire. They played Jazz during cocktail hour, Enya(as requested)at the ceremony, and a wide assortment of songs at the reception--all to rave reviews by the guests. It is a month after our wedding,and friends and family still compliment us on our band selection; as everyone danced all night! And who can forget the lead singer--the power and beauty of her voice must be heard! If we had to do it all over again, we would use Total Groove again without any hesitation, and plan to recommend them to others,as well."

"Sergei and his band, Total Groove, played at a party that I hosted last week. They were incredible!! Many of the guests contacted me afterwards to tell me how much they enjoyed the band. When I hired Total Groove I didn't request a vocalist, but when Sergie arrived at the party he informed me that he had arranged something special for me - a female vocalist. She had a beautiful voice. She had a voice like Nora Jones - very soulful and sultry. We enjoyed the music so much that my family and I are thinking of hosting another party just so that we can have Total Groove play again! You have to hire Total Groove for your event! They are fantastic! Thank you Sergei. "

"My husband and I hired Total Groove for a private party. We were looking for a band that could cover a verity of styles from a background jazz to a hot dance party music. Total Groove fulfilled it all!!! They were terrific and beyond all our expectations!!! All the guys were very nice and professional. They were very responsive and accommodated all our requests. All the guests were having so much fun! The band was really swinging for the jazz set and grooving hard for the dance set! That was just what we needed! The volume was perfect for the background set and people could talk and hear each other easily. I was dancing my heart out when they started playing dance music!!! You just can’t stop moving your feet listening to such great players!
I have no words to thank Total Groove and their leader Sergei Ioannisyan for their marvelous job that they’ve done!!! If my husband and I ever need a live band again we will definitely go with Total Groove! Two thumbs up guys!!! Total Groove really grooves!!! I would highly recommend this band to anybody!!!
