Description

You are in for a very special treat with Mal Jaeger and The Edelweiss Band. The Band is a very experienced group that has
been playing together for many years all over the Southwest. We play traditional and contemporary German music. We all sing in
German and English. The men will be dressed in authentic Bavarian black embroided Lederhosen, Vests and Tyrolean hats. Our Ladies
will be wearing Dirndls.
The real unique feature of our group, that sets us apart from other groups, is that in the style of Bavarian bands, we not only
play good music. If the occasion warrants, we do skits and get the whole audience involved in many authentic European audience
participation dances and contests. Including some or all of the following.
Bavarian Hat Dance Contest, Farmer's Wedding dance. Mug holding contest.
Special Beer drinking contest. Balloon Payment contest Burger Dance Schnitzelbank
Donkey (Esel) dance. Chicken Dance. Jaeger Marsch Pretzel eating contest Ruki Zuki

Feedback

  • Great addition to my mom's surprise party, I'd recommend them to anyone! -- Jennifer M, San Diego, CA, 8/27/2011
  • The Edelweiss Band exceeded our expectations! They were great at encouraging audience interaction and participation through fun games and contests. -- Natalie K, Carlsbad, CA, 10/30/2009
  • The Edelweiss/Squires band was just okay for us. Even though we are in our 70's - we are more like 40. Mal Jaegar said he had never played for a group like ours before - played for VFW groups and retirement centers mostly. Some of the songs on their list that we requested and that he agreed to were not played - and he played some that were just too old for us. We wouldn't recommend him to any of our friends - because it just isn't the style of band for them - but we see why they are popular with the usual groups they play for. -- Sherry F, Poway, CA, 3/31/2012
