*KALEO's BIO: Kaleo began performing in 1997, and in 2007 formed a Hawaiian band, "Kaleo" who has been delighting listeners with beautiful island music at their many live shows where they bring the classic Waikiki-style Hawaiian floor show to life with live hula, stellar musicianship, audience participation and, most importantly, real Aloha!

Kaleo is Kama'aina (island born) and raised on Kaua'i. Kaleo is the 7th generation of King Kaumuali'i Kauai's last King and he is also a decedent of George Na'ea, father of Hawaii's Queen Emma Na'ea Rooke! Kaleo learned about island history, and the ways and spirit of ALOHA from his "tutu" ("grandmother" in Hawaiian), Kamanao Na'ea who was a guitarist, singer and narrator at the Kodak Hula Show in Waikiki for two decades, she taught Kaleo to play and sing Hawaiian music from the day he was born. Kaleo moved to Santa Barbara in 1987 where he studied with many guitar masters over the next 20 years. Kaleo is also a massage therapist. He also loves learning the ways of huna (ancient Hawaiian wisdom) from his relatives on Kauai.

*ALBUM: On The Beach with Kaleo – Hawaiian Luau Music! "Kaleo's latest CD will transport you to the islands with his 5-Piece String Band featuring the Hawaiian Steel Guitar's magical slides and glides, the Ukulele strumming sweetly, and the upright Bass a swingin', its a pupu platter of island sing and swing and the perfect soundtrack for your next Luau. These hapa-haole classics range from touchingly sweet to gregarious and humorous and will set your toes tapping and your hips swaying as you are serenaded to tropical paradise!"

*ALBUM: Kaua'i Beauty – Solo Traditional Hawaiian Guitar & Vocals
"Kaleo's music reaches into your soul and allows you to experience Hawaiian music through the expertise of his style in traditional, and kiho'alu (slack key) guitar. His unique vocal style is brought to the forefront the difficult style of ha'i (falsetto) singing. The music will surprise and delight you with the different textures, harmony, and depth of character. His traditional Hawaiian songs tell stories of love for the land, the flowers, and the people of the islands. They also speak of ancient Hawaiian legends and generate a positive, magical feeling in one's heart and mind, as they define the spirit of Hawaiian culture and the physical majesty of the islands of Aloha."
