*KALEO's BIO: Kaleo began performing in 1997, and in 2007 formed a Hawaiian band, "Kaleo" who has been delighting listeners with beautiful island music at their many live shows where they bring the classic Waikiki-style Hawaiian floor show to life with live hula, stellar musicianship, audience participation and, most importantly, real Aloha!
Kaleo is Kama'aina (island born) and raised on Kaua'i. Kaleo is the 7th generation of King Kaumuali'i Kauai's last King and he is also a decedent of George Na'ea, father of Hawaii's Queen Emma Na'ea Rooke! Kaleo learned about island history, and the ways and spirit of ALOHA from his "tutu" ("grandmother" in Hawaiian), Kamanao Na'ea who was a guitarist, singer and narrator at the Kodak Hula Show in Waikiki for two decades, she taught Kaleo to play and sing Hawaiian music from the day he was born. Kaleo moved to Santa Barbara in 1987 where he studied with many guitar masters over the next 20 years. Kaleo is also a massage therapist.He also loves learning the ways of huna (ancient Hawaiian wisdom) from his relatives on Kauai.

"I love Kaleo. We hired Kaleo for our wedding back in May 2010. He was absolutely a pleasure to work with. I found him to be very professional and responsive to my requests. He is extremely accommodating. We had the band move from the outdoor stage (that was set up during the cocktail hour) and into the banquet room stage. They had no problem with this even though it was so much more work for them.
Regarding his music, he and his band are very, very talented and skilled. Our wedding was a hybrid Vietnamese/American banquet reception. EVERYONE loved the music, including old school Vietnamese old ladies!

We can't possibly put into words how grateful we are to Kaleo for making our event so special with his beautiful music of Kauai. His rendition of The Hawaiian Wedding Song and Over the Rainbow during Mass brought tears to many eyes. We loved it so much we are planning on asking Kaleo to play for our 60th wedding anniversary in 2012.
