Known as one of the best in the Bay Area and winner of the 2011 Rising Star Award, TRIO SOL de MEXICO brings to you over 60 years of combined musical experience. We play the best of the traditional and most recent Mexican/Latin music such as Rancheras, Baladas, Boleros, Sones, Cumbias and much more.

We play throughout the San Francisco Bay Area and will travel to other California areas based on the client's needs.


Always On-Time, Trio Sol de Mexico will perform at your events wearing the traditional Mariachi or Charro outfits, Guayaberas or Gala suits. (The type of outfit worn by the members may often depend on weather conditions.)

Wedding/Baptism/Quinceañera/Funeral Services and all other religious services: Members of Trio Sol de Mexico, for 20 years held positions such as Spanish Choir Director, Voice and Music coordinators for various churches in the Bay Area. We play all the traditional Spanish and English wedding songs such as: Ave Maria, The Wedding Song, The Wedding March, Pescador de Hombres, Una Alianza, De Aqui a la Eternidad and many more.

No matter the type of event, Trio Sol de Mexico will ensure that the music meets your needs. Below you will find a small sample list of the traditional songs. If you a have a special song request, we will learn it and have it ready for your event.

Sound system can provided at no additional cost for events of two hours or more.

• Trio de Sol is very professional. Very responsive when asking questions prior to the party. Although there was a list of songs somewhat planned, guests were throwing out all types of song names. • super fun & great Trio. It was between a band of three (Trio) for a great price or a band of 7 (Mariachi) for a whole lot more. Mind you, this is a "house" party. Super glad I chose Sol De mexico. They were right on time, costumes looking sharp & made my mom cry as they entered singing "Las Mananitas." Mario is very good about getting back to your texts/phone calls & making sure everyone has a great time at the party. They're acoustic speakers & microphones sure made a difference & we probably had the whole block wondering what the special occasion was. • Trio Sol De Mexico did a fantastic job. So, I had originally booked another, less expensive band, but that band lacked communication. And through the entire booking process I was able to keep in contact with Sr. Hernandez of Trio. The fact that Trio kept in contact with me, were cordial, and accommodating made me cancel my plans with the unmentioned Mariachi band and book Trio. Our sound system for the ceremony wasn't working and Trio stepped in with no questions and helped to make our wedding run smoothly. Everyone LOVED them. So great! • I can't say enough about Trio Sol De Mexico. My brothers and I are extremely grateful that we were able to both bring joy to our ailing sister and to celebrate the birthday of our niece, her daughter. Their performance was key to our community celebration of my sister's life and the celebration of my niece's fifteenth birthday. Their selection of music, presentation, ability to "work" the room brought in heart and soul. My nephews experienced Mariachi music for the first time. • Customer service was initially great. However the group showed up at the wrong location and then tried to blame me when I had (2) confirmed emails acknowledging the location change due to rain. I was screamed at "what part of I can't find the email don't you understand!"-which is #1 just plain disrespectful to anyone, and #2 not appropriate to speak to a customer like that. I had only (1) minor special request which was to NOT play ANY sad songs and they played probably the saddest song possible-Amor Eterno. • We were quite thrilled with Trio Sol de Mexico that played at our open house on May 5th for Cinco de Mayo. There music was fun, light hearted, made you want to get up and dance, (and some of our customers did.) The volume was perfect, never to loud or shrill! They are not the “typical” mariachi band that comes to mind, good for 15 minutes then you wish they would stop playing. • Trio Sol de Mexico always provides over-the-top entertainment, but this time they really out-did themselves. Mario Hernandez and his trio engaged nearly 500 elementary school students and their mothers in beautiful music to honor the mothers on Dia de las madres. The entire community loved the performance.
