"Classically trained, Jazz influenced and Soul inspired, vocalist", songwriter and pianist Marcya Daneille serves up good times with every performance! She can swing a standard, moan a blues or even dance through an R&B tune! In recent years Marcya has shared the stage with a host of artists including renowned Jazz Trombonist Wycliffe Gordon, Laurel Masse of Manhattan Transfer, Bebe Winans, Vanessa Williams and the late Gerald Levert to name a few. Marcya has performed at New York venues such as Rose Theater (Jazz at Lincoln Center), the Apollo Theater, Alice Tully Hall, Miller Theater at Columbia University, S.O.B.s, Sugar Bar, Crash Mansion, 5C Cafe and Caffe Cielo. Chicago venues include The University Golf Club, Chant, Red Kiva, The Art Institute of Chicago and Charles Heath Presents: Jazzin' on the South Side. A few of Marcya's career highlights in Jazz include featured vocalist for the Mary Lou Williams Centennial Concert at St. Francis Xavier Church in New York City, headlining concerts at Freedom Hall (2010/2011), performances at the Summer Sizzle Jazz Festival (2011/2012) and the Main Street Music Festival.
Marcya Daneille offers a variety of options to suit the occasion and your budget. For more intimate events a Duo (voice/guitar or voice/piano) or Trio (voice/keys/bass) provides an elegant backdrop which will not overpower a smaller setting. Weddings or parties in larger venues might best be served by the addition of a Quartet (voice/piano/bass/drums) or a larger ensemble such as a Quintet, Sextet or Seven piece ensemble. Regardless of the band format, you have the option of choosing tunes from Marcya's extensive song list which includes a healthy offering of Jazz Standards, as well as, Classic R&B, Pop and Classical favorites. Of course, Marcya will add any songs that you would like to the song list for your event.

That means you could hear tunes made popular by Mahalia Jackson,Tramaine Hawkins, Yolanda Adams or Mary Mary! The possibilities are endless! This uplifting, spirit-filled program is available for bookings to enhance your church fundraisers or benefits or concert series.
