About Vendor

You "were a big hit for us!" said our most recent client, a prominent magazine whose client party we played. How about you? Do you want your event's music to be the kind your guests love? If so, hire the guys with two gold and one platinum records, a resume full of heavy hitters in the music industry, and a real hit maker. THE KILLER JOE ORCHESTRA (KJO)--The Orchestra with an Edge, fronted by a holder of two gold and one platinum records--Joe Delia, playing a variety of music from Rock n Roll, Rhythm & Blues, Contemporary, you name it. Flexible size--solo piano/singer duo, to four piece (Joe Delia & Thieves) to 7-10 piece orchestra. (Prices pro rated according to size and times and dates) Long History of Hit Music--The Killer Joe Orchestra (KJO) is the reincarnation of the band, "Killer Joe", which was founded in the 90s by famed musician, "Killer" Joe Delia. "Killer Joe" was a band that Bruce was known to drop in on in Asbury Park, NJ. Bruce's long time drummer, Max Weinberg, was drummer for Killer Joe. Before that, Joe had huge success with his arrangement of the party song "Hot, Hot, Hot" that made it a hit for the world. He was co-founder, and long-time musical director for Buster Poindexter. Killer Joe has reformed as the Killer Joe Orchestra and is playing to enthusiastic crowds at corporate events, night clubs, theaters, and weddings in the Tri-state area and the Hamptons. Not your Average event band--The band looks nice in tuxedos when appropriate, The Killer Joe Orchestra (KJO) has an authentic sound and look that is generally not found in your average wedding band. KJO Is best known for playing authentic hard hitting R&B, Rock n Roll, and contemporary hits, and can play all formats, including jazz, standards, latin, and Caribbean. One size doesn't fit all--KJO can be booked in a number of configurations from Joe playing solo piano, duos with another vocalist, to a full twelve-piece band, with vocalists and horns. Pricing is negotiable, based on the type of event, number of musicians, and scope of the entertainment. Mr. Jagger I presume?--Delia has a ong resume of gold and platinum records, thirty plus film scores as a composer (King of New York, Bad Lieutenant, Tao of Steve, Substitute ll, Carlito's Way (rise to power) et al.), "Killer Joe" numerous tours and records as a keyboard player and arranger (Dusty Springfield, Pat Benatar, Grace Slick, Martin Short, Nathan Lane, Richard Belzer, etc.). Despite that, it has been his remarkable resemblance to the Rolling Stones lead singer that has recently garnered much press and TV coverage. The amusing stories abound, from regularly stopping traffic in the Hamptons to a familiar hush in restaurants and countless offers to perform and attend events as his alter ego. But rather than going the obvious route of a typical "tribute" band, the Killer Joe Orchestra will often be called on to play their spot on set of Stones songs … with a guy in front who Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers) once described as a "___ing dead ringer for Mick." PJ will be your contact person--Joe and his wife PJ Delia have been enjoying success with a number of musical projects as of late. PJ acts as manager/publicist for Joe Delia & Thieves as well as ongoing film score projects and KJO. As well as promoting Thieves shows and CD (with the hit "Under the Montauk Moon") she sings in both the Thieves band and KJO.
