DESCRIPTION:
Bright Moments,(formerly known as "Your Parents") is a guitar/vocal/and clarinet duo. They perform classic jazz standards from the Great American Songbook in a way that will make any event sparkle with gentle ambiance. This husband and wife team has a chemistry that creates a relaxed and intimate atmosphere for dining and small social settings. At the client's request, they will add, piano bass, and drums or additional horn players and vocalists to create larger ensembles. Bright Moments work with some of the best in the business to create just the right ensemble for any occasion. With advanced notice, Kim and Dave work with the client to create just the perfect set for the event. They honor special requests to fit the party or concert. Kim's vocal style has been compared to Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughn or Diane Schuur. She has a warm rich vocal tone with a very wide range, and is able to tackle just about any tune with sparkle and charm. Her clarinet playing adds a beautiful contrast for variety, giving the duo a lot of bang for the buck. She also adds flute on some of the pair's songs to add even more flavor. Dave's archtop guitar playing is fluid and full of energy. Always keying into the subtle nuances of the phrase and the feeling of the lyric, he is the supportive backbone of the duo. Dave sometimes joins Kim to share vocals as well. Kim and Dave's Bright Moments make any event memorable and fun. What sets them apart from the rest is their attention to detail. With meticulous arrangements, they bring the standards back to life in a way that engages the audience without overwhelming. Their loyal fans comment that the music comes alive with their energy and enthusiasm.

We couldn't have found a more perfect band for our Holiday Party at Le Moulin Rouge!!! Your Parents delivered an impeccable jazz performance that was uniquely tailored to compliment the French-bohemian vibe of the event. Kim Chamberlain, the band’s centerpiece, was charming and delightful in her willingness to work with us toward a customized set. The band moved effortlessly from a classy lounge sound early in the evening to more upbeat and get-up-and-go dance numbers late into the night. The vocals were top-notch, the instrumentation eclectic and varied (accordion, ukulele, horns), and the stage-presence full of life. We highly recommend Your Parents! Many thanks and hats off to you!

I was recently looking for a 40's style band for a large event that I was hosting. I usually don't ever book a band unless they are highly recommended, and since 'Your Parents' was new to gigmasters, they had no feedback. I thought I'd be taking a risk booking them, but I was wrong...they were the BEST group I have ever booked. They were affordable, easy to work with, on time & thoroughly entertaining. My crowd of 106 people had nothing but outstanding things to say and everybody wanted their number. If you are looking for a good group for your event, look no further. I gaurantee you they will be a crowd pleaser.
