We are a traditional 1920's, 30's, & 40's New Orleans syncopated style jazz band consisting of seven members: Banjo, Guitar & Leader Jack (Creole) King;
Trumpet, Charles Clarke
Clarinet, Piano, Trumpet, Brian Graville;
Trombone, Len Goslin
Upright Bass Colin Bray;
Drums, Gary Scriven.
The Silverleaf Jazzband has been in existence for the past thirty three years playing many venues from the New Orleans Heritage Jazz Festival, the Buffalo Jazz Festival, du Maurier Downtown Jazz Festival, TD Jazz Fest, Beaches Jazz Festival, Oakville Jazz Festival and many clubs, bars, private functions, T.V. shows (with Peter Appleyard), as well as The Classic Jazz Society of Toronto. The band has recorded many records over the last thirty three years & in the last two years we have made a CD.
