DESCRIPTION:
I am a singer, pianist, and guitarist. Music is my life work and passion. I sing and play (solo, duo, trio or band) in a variety of styles from jazz standards (Great American songbook; the repertoire of Tony Bennett, Sinatra, Diana Krall, etc.), as well as more contemporary styles (60's to the present) from smooth jazz, rock, blues, funk, latin, New Age, reggae, music theatre, country, and traditional and contemporary folk songs including Irish and Spirituals. As a performer I hold myself and the musicians I work with to the highest professional standards and always put my heart and soul into everything I do. Give yourself the gift of live music; the warmth, passion, energy and excitement of living music played by real musicians in real time. Let me and the musicians I work with provide the soundtrack to make your wedding, party or other event a treasured memory. As a band or ensemble I can perform in many combinations of musicians: drums, bass (acoustic stand-up or electric), hand percussion (congas,etc.), alto or tenor saxs, flute, or guitar, depending on your tastes and budget. I also perform as a soloist (simple vocal and piano or guitar, and/or one man band with drums and bass played from my keyboard or mp3 backup) or, add sidemen if you can't afford a full band. Please note that the drum sounds in the recordings are sequenced drums played from my keyboard. Live drums played by a real drummer will sound better. I have just recorded live drums for many of the songs in 'Standards' which will be put on this site and my website before too long. I play through two Bose cylindrical sound systems with their amazing innovative technology providing by far the clearest, fullest, stereo sound available for live performance; sounding great in the smallest room or large venue, and really have to be heard to be believed.
