DENNIS WINGE ENSEMBLEThis stylish and sophisticated group of professionals perform an extensive repertoire, embracing lush jazz standards, high-energy pop/rock favorites, seductive soul tunes and sultry blues classics. The Dennis Winge Ensemble is highly versatile, able to complement any size occasion, from a solo guitar for that intimate setting, up to a 7-piece band featuring male and female vocalists, sax, keyboards, bass and drums. Dennis Winge has been performing at weddings, corporate events and parties of all kinds in the New York metropolitan area since 1998. His ensemble prides itself on having a repertoire vast enough to be able to complement any occasion and to please people of all ages. Whether it's providing elegance to formal occasions, subtlety to intimate gatherings, or that extra dose of pure fun to private parties, the band members truly love what they do, and have developed a user-friendly reputation for well-crafted entertainent. A Typical Event with the Dennis Winge Ensemble There is no such thing a 'typical' event. The Dennis Winge Ensemble specializes in customizing the musical entertainment to make each individual event unique and memorable. Having fun and playing music that's most appropriate at different points throughout the evening is the name of the game. Plus, the Ensemble has a large repertoire, so there's no such thing as 'going through the motions' at any particular event. That said, for some of the more formal events such as weddings and bar-mitzvahs, we can preview how a 'typical' event might run just to whet your appetite for the great event you will be hosting and to reassure you that you will be in good hands with the Dennis Winge Ensemble: 1. Cocktails - this can be done with solo guitar or piano, as duo, or
with instrumental ensemble (Select 'Cocktail' sound file for sample) 2. Jazz with vocals - transitioning from cocktail hour to main event (Select 'Jazzvox' sound file for sample) 3. Traditional - first dance, horah dance, etc. (Select 'Traditional' sound file for sample) 4. Jazz and Contemporary - gradually mixing in more contemporary selections (Select 'JazzandContemporary' sound file for sample) 5. Dinner - band takes break except for solo guitar or piano (Select 'Dinner' sound file for sample) 6. Dance - the highlight of the evening for the guests and fun for the band!
