Ms. Jackson is a New York/NJ based vocalist, and is considered one of the most consistently interesting singers in the metropolitan tri-state area, she is one of the top jazz, cabaret and blues artist's around today. Carrie has performed at Birdland, NYC, Jazz Standard, NYC Iridium, NYC, Zinc Bar, New Jersey Performing Arts Center, Newark, NJ, Bickford Theater, Morristown, NJ. She combines jazz originals, standards, pop/blues tunes, and open improvisation in an adventurous, genre-bending style that's inspirational and original; a singer with a soulful Sound!
Ms. Carrie Jackson, Vocal Stylist, performs classic jazz, rhythm & blues, and gospel. She is now and has been for many years, one of sought after vocalists. She is a wonderful singer and can swing, handle all kinds of Latin syncopated beats, jazz, swing, even a little funk and R&B. She is a free spirit with classic soul and has a flair for dramatic interpretation.

Carrie Jackson, studied piano and voice with Howard "Duke" Anderson, teacher, composer and arranger. She was Duke's protégé and as a young adult worked with his Big Band. She also studied voice with Inez Mc Clendon, Nadine Herman and Winston Hughes. Her voice training and natural talents are evident providing for classical performance in cabaret, jazz favorites, soulful sultry pop, blues, and poignant, mellow gospel.
Ms. Jackson, a song stylist, has been hailed a "Diva" for her Featured Artist performance concert in "Women in Jazz" NYC a principal performer in "Ain't Misbehavin" Thomas "Fats" Waller's musical show presented at the Villagers Theater, Somerset, NJ, with a 6 week run, a Principal artist in " 49th Street Jazz, NY, NY, a musical review and tribute to Eubie Blake, Duke Ellington, Billie Holiday, Alberta Hunter, which featured selections from Eubie, Sophisticated Ladies, Black & Blue, Porgy & Bess, Nunsense Musical, Off Broadway. Carrie is a Singer's Singer and has performed extensively in top venues in New York City, and in the metropolitan areas touring in the USA and abroad.
