The band plays all styles of jazz, instrumental or vocal, and will perform special requests. Each band member has developed a style through over thirty years of professional musicianship and performances with established figures in jazz. A cumulative list would include such greats as Duke Ellington, Marian McPartland, Carl Fontana, Mose Allison, Les McCann, Alvin Batiste and Clarence 'Gatemouth' Brown. But more importantly, the band improvises soulful interpretations of classic swing tunes, ballads, and latin grooves to set the right mood for your occasion, whether it be an elegant cocktail/dinner party or a joyous wedding reception.If you love jazz and listening to talented musicians perform everything from traditional New Orleans to contemporary styles, you'll be glad you booked In Harmony. The in Harmony Jazz Quartet was very responsive to any questions or concerns that I had at any given time throughout the planning stages of my event. They were willing to meet any request that I made. My guests and I were very entertained with their music and performance during the reception.
