Description

We are jazz musicians who can put together any instrumentation you wish. Piano, bass, sax is a typical arrangement, but we can add drums, guitar, trumpet, or anything you'd like. We play jazz and pop standards, with improvised solos. We are recent college graduates where each of us studied our respective instruments, and have been playing professionally since 2006. We've booked more than 60 gigs on our own, all with satisfied clients, evidenced by numerous invitations back to various establishments (The vast majority of our gigs were not through Gigmasters, so please don't let the lack of "previous and upcoming" performances fool you). We'd love to do cocktails gatherings, weddings, parties, dinners, etc. We are willing to negotiate on price. We're doing this because we love to play.

Available For:

Anniversaries, Bachelor Parties, Bachelorette Parties, Banquets, Birthday Parties, Children's Birthday Parties, Celebrations, Christenings, Christmas Parties, Church Services, Clubs, Community Events, Conventions, Corporate Functions, Dinner Dances, Festivals, Fund Raisers, Funerals, Graduation Parties, Grand Openings, Picnic, Private Parties, Proms, Restaurants, Reunions, Sweet 16 Parties, Weddings, Wedding Ceremonies, Wedding Cocktail Hours, Wedding Receptions...and more.

Feedback

  • Great guys with great talent who did a great job. Perfect background jazz for any occassion. -- Russell P, Phila, PA, 6/10/2007
  • They did a great job. The piano player turned out to be a different guy than originally planned but was good. There was a misunderstanding on the time and how much they were paid. The hotel host apparently told them to stay for an extra hour and I would pay them for the time but this was never approved through me. Sorry about that. I would recommend these guys to anyone that asked. -- Vince C, Austin, TX, 11/19/2009
  • Great music at a reasonable price. Appropriate band for our occasion. Would strongly recommend to anyone having a classy, low-key affair. -- Eileen G, Drexel Hill, PA, 1/31/2009
  • My husband, a lifelong jazz musician himself, and I hired The Rhythm Section for our wedding after-party. My husband said this was the REAL THING when it comes to jazz. We asked them to play straight-ahead jazz and we felt like we were transported from our Texas home to the classiest jazz bar in Manhattan. We give them our highest recommendation. Words cannot describe how much we enjoyed the whole experience with them. If you want real jazz musicians at your party - this IS IT! We had them play as a trio (keyboardist, stand-up bass and saxophone) in our home living room and it was perfect. I thought it might be too loud for a small room, but it was great! -- Suzanne L, Giddings, TX, 1/14/2012
