Steve Wood Duo, Trio, And Quartet

Steve is a woodwind virtuoso specializing in saxophone and flute and is fluent in a variety of styles of jazz and classical music. The Duo features the classics as well as jazz standards, and is particularly appropriate for wedding ceremonies, banquets, and other social affairs. The Trio and Quartet feature jazz, swing, and big band style music and are perfect for wedding receptions, parties, nightclubs, and concerts. The Swing Band features rhythm and blues, soul, and Motown music in addition to jazz and big band styles.

Steve has been performing for nearly thirty years and is widely regarded as one of the top jazz musicians in the midwest. He has performed at most of the major jazz clubs and festivals in Michigan and Ohio, has toured Europe twice, has recorded with a variety of leading jazz artists, and released two cd's of his own - "Unanswerable Questions" on Alembic Arts and "Deep Woods" on Corridor Records.

• Excellent in every way! After hearing rave reviews we decided to go with Steve Wood's five piece ensemble. They played some wonderful jazz throughout dinner, moved to some Motown, rock and big band style swing. Talk about versatility; for our first dance we started with Our Love is Here to Stay by Sinatra and then after a couple verses switched it up to Jump Jive and Wail by Brian Setzer Orchestra.
