Description
With over 20 years of performing experience, Kim Chamberlain is a seasoned professional performer who dazzles her audience with her vocal stylings of jazz favorites. Whether she is skating over a swift upbeat version of 'Lullaby of Birdland' or adding her sultry rich tones to 'Round Midnight,' Kim engages her audience. She instinctively knows how to transmit the essence of the song through the lyric and the melody. Kim also gives her all when playing clarinet and flute too.
Her warmth comes through musically and through her smile. Kim loves to relate to her listeners as if they were members of her own family which to her they are! Folks continually comment that they love to see her perform because she is always smiling and giving her self to her listeners.
Also, Kim is a fine clarinetist and very often adds her sweet sound to the mix. She has been playing clarinet professionally for many years and has performed in many venues from belly-dance music to Klezmer to International dance music.
Currently, Kim performs with her equally talented guitarist-husband, David Chamberlain in a duo they call Bright Moments. Both love the music their own parents grew up with and cherish the opportunity to bring it to audiences to keep jazz classics alive.
Kim also performs with pianist and vocalist Heidi Pollyea in a larger ensemble called 'Body and Soul'. This band includes keyboards, bass, drums and guitar as well as horns when requested. 'Body and Soul' have performed for many corporate and private events over the past several years.
With a degree in clarinet performance from Georgia State University, Kim is well equipped to play classical favorites for weddings and other special events. She even adds flute to the mix for a variety of styles. In addition, Kim can sing both classical and pop favorites to make your wedding a very memorable experience. Kim works step by step with brides-to-be to make the music enhance her wedding day. She is totally committed to making the bride's musical selections fit the mood of this special occasion.
Kim's other full-time gig is a music teacher of very young children for The Music Class. She can be heard on the nationally-acclaimed CDs both as a singer and clarinetist.
Kim is available to sing with big bands, pianists or other combos as well. With a music degree from Georgia State University, she is an excellent reader and can provide professional lead sheets when needed.

Feedback
- Kim Chamberlain and her band fit our wedding event perfectly. Her music and style set the atmosphere for our reception, and I don't believe it would have been as sucessful had I choosen another band. All the guest were pleased with the music, giving glowing compliments to me about her and the band all evening as well as the following morning during brunch. She was very easy to get along with, very organized, and I could have been more pleased with her hard work in make my wedding reception the best evening it could be. I would recommend her to anyone.
