Based out of the Sarasota/Tampa area, Intuit is a young and eclectic, Jazz-spirited quartet that adds a modern flare to the traditional art form of jazz. Incorporating influences from diverse genres such as Funk, R&B, Latin, World and experimental music, this group creates a truly unique listening experience that has been known to appeal to all listeners, from devoted jazz lovers to general audiences alike.
Intuit began in 2012 as a light jazz duo between guitarist Nicholas Russell and bassist Nick Spagnuolo. Since then, the band has grown into a full-fledged quartet with a fresh sound and a lineup of musicians with multifarious backgrounds, including Camille Hudson on vocals and violin, Nicholas Russell on guitar, Nick Spagnuolo on bass, and the multifaceted Hunter James Brown on drums, vocals and keyboard; each of whom have been consistent contributors to the music department at State College of Florida, as well as to the Manatee Players community theatre and organizations such as Big Brothers Big Sisters. From weddings and charity events, to restaurants, bars and clubs, the band has made an effort to reach out to new audiences with a deeply personalized form of jazz, with performances that include unique arrangements of jazz standards, original music, and their own take on some of today's popular and independent music.
Intuit has performed at venues such as Anna Maria Island's Wine Festival 2013, Realize Bradenton's ArtSlam 2014, Bradenton Farmer's Market, The Blue Marlin AMI, Englewood's Mango Bistro, Sarasota's White Horse Pub, and Barefoot Tiki Bar AMI.
