Influenced by jazz music at an early age, San Francisco born Hale Baskin and her "Jazz Addiction" live up to their name. They are addicted to solid musicianship, hip changes and deep grooves to enhance the great vocal style of this talented young lady who is loved by all who witness her performance.

"Hale Baskin is endowed with a clear, beautiful voice, a sure sense of swing, and a seemingly innate sense of the nuances of Jazz phrasing". She moves effortlessly from channeling the songbirds of the 1940's Big Bands to Ella Fitzgerald-inspired Jazz favorites to Motown classic soul to down-home blues. Performing professionally since the age of thirteen, Hale has a bio which could be attached to an entertainment veteran twice her age. By the time she had her nineteenth birthday, Hale was awarded three Down Beat Magazine Student Awards for Jazz performances, recorded two full length CD's, won a scholarship to Berklee School of Music Summer Program, selected as featured vocalist for the SF Jazz All-Star High School Jazz Orchestra, performed with such notables as Arturo Sandoval, Count Basie Orchestra, Mike Vax Big Band as well as scores of first call jazz musicians at San Francisco Bay Area's best local venues, toured Europe twice with her high school Advanced Jazz Orchestra and led her own jazz ensemble booking venues in four Western States.

But the best part is....You will realize why she has more gigs booked through Gigmasters than any other Jazz Band in Texas when she takes the stage at your event! Hale knows how to make your event a guaranteed success. She has been booking with Gigmasters since 2006 and has always held a 5 star rating with clients raving about her performances. Hale and her associates are right on top of it to make sure your event is as good as it can be. • Fil Lorenz orchestra played as a trio on a beautiful Sunday afternoon for our winery's "Music on the Terrace" series. We saw about 1800 people that day and the feedback from guests and staff alike was fantastic. The trio set a an easy yet energetic tone to the day. The big hit was their antique Hammond Organ which set the "60's Soul Jazz and Boogaloo Band" style. Fil recommended this style for our guests and it proved to be the right call. • Hale Baskin is incredible! If you listen to her demos on Gigmaster, or her album on itunes - multiply what your hear by 1000. She has an incredible voice. A voice, that when heard live, will make you think you discovered her on Verve Records rather than Gigmasters. Hale sang at our wedding in Yosemite, and my wife and I, as well as our friends, cannot think of another voice that could hold its own in the majesty of such a setting.
