Her present group can provide all the best in Classical Ceremony Music as well as really incredible Jazz for Cocktail Hours and Receptions and Parties. As both Jazz Pianist and Jazz Vocalist she has performed and recorded with many greats in NYC and has been seen and heard with her group in New York at large events at Lincoln Center Jazz for the New York Philharmonic Fundraiser and other prestigious events in Philharmonic Hall. She has appeared with Jazz greats like Bill Evans, Saxophone, Adam Nussbaum, Drums, Mark Johnson, Bass and Jeff Williams, Drums. In addition, she has appeared at the Parker-Meridien Hotel, events at La Grenouille, concerts at the IBM Center for Arts and Sciences. Her Jazz Vocals have graced the University halls of Rowan University where she was the Vocal Jazz Instructor for four years, and Drexel University. She has been the recipient of a National Endowment of the Arts grant for multi-media concerts.In addition to these, Myra has played for the second wedding Ceremony of Art Garfunkel in Brooklyn Botanical Gardens Cherry Blossom Garden. With the Duo and Trio she is able to offer Classical Wedding Ceremonies, Jazz Cocktail Hours, and in addition, the Duo or Trio can fill requests for Singer-Songwriter tunes such as Norah Jones,Ray Lamontagne, Bob Dylan and others. She also performs with her Quartet with Jazz Guitar or Saxophone. The Duo,Trio and Quartet can be all instrumental or with added Jazz Vocals. All great standards of Gershwin, Porter and Kern are played along with Bossa Novas and works of Ellington and other greats.

• The jazz trio was wonderful! We got so many compliments from our guests who said the music was perfect for our wedding reception. Myra was so easy to work with. I didn't have particular songs in mind, but I pointed out several that I liked the style of, and that's exactly what I got. It was the perfect music to complement the eating and socializing during our reception, and also for everyone to dance to. The band even took a request on the spot from one of our guests. • The Myra Murphy Jazz Group performed at our annual holiday party this year, and everyone loved it. The group performed three sets of a mix of snappy/poppy holiday jazz and jazz standards. The mix of holiday songs and jazz standards were perfect for our holiday party, and their sound and volume were just right. Myra Murphy even took the time to inquire (long before the performance) as to whether we had any songs in particular that we wanted to hear.
