She acquired her stage experience through numerous gigs and appearances, performing non-stop with jazz and pop bands here in the U.S. and abroad. After winning a scholarship to Berklee College Of Music in Massachusetts, Tamara decided to pursue her goal of becoming a professional singer full time and critics have been singing her praises ever since. Tamara combines her love for the great soul, jazz and R&B singers in her music with influences from Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughn Etta James, Aretha Franklin and Billie Holiday to Anita Baker, Whitney Houston and Chaka Khan to name a few. Tamara currently performs with Alex DeZenzo, an accomplished piano accompanist, and combines a perfect mix of soul, pop and jazz for your next event.
