Eclipse Jazz Quartet

The Eclipse Jazz Quartet is a highly professional musical ensemble (saxophone, bass, drums, and guitar (or piano)) capable of performing a wide spectrum of traditional and contemporary jazz, blues, funk and Latin. The group can perform as a hard driving contemporary jazz group, keeping jazz fans enthralled with both original and cover material, or it can deliver a comfortable background of easy listening standards, enhancing the atmosphere of any social gathering. A vocalist,or additional musicians (ie. trumpet and/or trombone) are available upon request for an additional fee.
The group is led by saxophonist Allen Wittig, a polished performer with 35 years of experience. Mr. Wittig's use of tenor and alto saxophones as well as flute, help keep the ensemble sounding fresh and pleasing to the listener. Mr. Wittig (a graduate of the University of Maryland), is also an experienced composer, arranger and producer. He served 25+ years in the US Air Force Band career field as a Staff Arranger, Saxophonist and Musical Director of jazz and pop/rock music ensembles. He has produced/co-produced or contributed to five CDs for USAF/NATO Bands.

• Stellar jazz quartet - provided EXACTLY the kind of atmosphere I was looking to create for my wedding cocktail and dinner hours. Unfortunately we had to be indoors for the cocktail hour due to rain, but the quartet rolled with it. There was a little confusion about our special request songs for first dances, but the quartet pulled through and it all worked out.
